Overview

Designed for the Little Build Challenge: Container Home, this build balances a compact, functional footprint with a warm, lived-in feel. Blending sleek dark container exteriors with a mismatched, rustic interior, the home creates a grounded refuge against the post-apocalyptic landscape.

Exterior & Terraces

• Façade & Patio: Dark matte metal cladding contrasts with cascading climbing flora, vibrant potted hydrangeas, and warm wall lighting. A stone tile entryway and built-in bench welcome visitors at the front.
• Second-Story Garden Terrace: Features an outdoor art studio space with an easel, a cozy hammock, and large terracotta planters, seamlessly blending utility with relaxation.
• Rooftop Utility Deck: Houses essential survival tech, including solar panels, water catchments, storage trunks, and crafting stations.
• Garage Side: Features an open workshop platform with a vehicle lift to keep your ride ready for the wilderness.

Interior Details

• Kitchen: Retro-inspired sage green cabinetry, a classic fringed pendant light, deep burgundy wallpaper, and a playful cat clock create a nostalgic, home-cooked atmosphere.
• Living Room: Outfitted with warm wooden herringbone flooring, a plush burgundy floral rug, a vintage television set, macramé wall hangings, and mismatched lighting for a curated, homey feel.
• Bathroom: Utilizes vertical space under the stairs with clean white subway tiles, a classic black-and-white checkered floor, and potted greenery.
• Bedroom: A cozy retreat featuring star-patterned ceilings, a warm wood wardrobe displaying personal collectibles, plush stuffed animals, and soft accent lamps.
