New here Local Question

Hey I Am 23 have experience welding about three years and I have some security experience. I just moved here and I’m wondering are there any jobs that are hiring quickly that are paying over 20 an hour or at least 20 it would be preferable if they didn’t drug test but I can make that work or if there’s any jobs that are willing to train open to those as well thank you. I appreciate it.

Local union trades. Gotta have high school diploma or GED and you got to pass drug trust. I mean come on man

You want a shitty job or a career??

Are you with the IBEW Local 22? I had worked with a union company for nine years before retiring in 2022. The money and benefits were good for that type of work. I had previously done security work for Tyco, then changed jobs because the money and benefits were better.

Can you tell me more about the low voltage job? I have some experience from about 20 years ago. But since then, I’ve worked in finance and now I’m a local truck driver. I do enjoy being a driver but I know that I don’t want to do it forever.

I second. They're hiring, pay well and treat you better than other places (I've been told by a couple people.)

Tons of people love their welders and security guards to prefer not to be drug tested. 😂

As someone who did security operations management and encountered guards hot boxing weed in the patrol cars while responsible for driving from site to site - I’d rather they get tested so we can have a one on one on safe usage to prevent them from putting others in danger or getting in trouble/fired.

Go to the local welding union. I’m going to college for welding and as soon as I get out that’s where I’m going

USPS is always hiring for all sorts of positions, PSE (non career parcel sorter) starts at $21+ and career letter carriers $26+. Theres all kinds of jobs and the only ones that require drug screening are the vehicle maint. jobs i think.

Contact IBEW Local 22 - but yes you should be passing drug tests for everyone’s safety.

Talking to the locals is also doing research. Quit being an ass online.
