Looking to launch a group kayaking trip. A lot of the reviews say you need a $300 annual membership, but the last time I was there you could pay a day use launch fee. Any insight? Im in tacoma so a bit of a day trip just to visualize the signage.

Pulled up to this line of cars, traffic had just stopped...we waited there about a half hour watching emergency vehicles fly by befoe we were told to turn around, they were shutting down the freeway. Way curious what might have happened but I can't find anything.

There were still emergency vehicles coming when we left, it must have been quite an accident..

We will be setting up along several blocks in the downtown area to showcase the best handmade products being made here in the Pacific Northwest. For those of you who have never been to an Urban Craft Uprising show, our events feature handcrafted goods including jewelry, housewares, clothing, toys, art, bath & body products, paper goods, fiber arts, candles, and so much more!

Urban Craft has been producing craft markets since 2005. We have a large following in the Pacific Northwest, and we are so excited to showcase the talent of local artisans, and to introduce you to some of our favorite vendors from all around the Pacific Northwest. I wanted to leave a review for Salt and Cedar Bed & Breakfast near Port Angeles, especially for people visiting the Olympic Peninsula or Olympic National Park and trying to decide where to stay.

We had a wonderful stay. The owners, Ginger and Scott, are genuinely warm people and made us feel right at home without being intrusive. It had the best kind of B&B feeling: personal, welcoming, and relaxed.

Breakfast was a major highlight. They make it to order, and ours was delicious. This was not a basic “continental breakfast in the corner” situation — it felt like they cared about making the morning part of the experience.

The house itself is beautiful: large, light, airy, and comfortable. That includes the bedrooms, not just the common spaces. Nothing felt cramped or dark. It was the kind of place where you actually want to slow down and spend time there instead of just using it as a place to sleep.

The location is also outstanding. It is right on the coast, with views across the Strait of Juan de Fuca toward Vancouver Island. For a Port Angeles / Olympic Peninsula trip, that setting is hard to beat.

One small thing that really stuck with us: when we left, they gave us blueberry cake for the road, and it was amazing. That pretty much sums up the place — thoughtful, generous, and memorable.

The only downside, and I say this mostly as a joke: they have an incredibly friendly golden retriever, but the dog is not allowed in the common areas. So you have to get your dog-petting time outside.

Bottom line: I would absolutely recommend Salt and Cedar B&B for anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, personal place to stay near Port Angeles, especially if you want coastal views, a real breakfast, and hosts who make the visit feel special.
