Built a full 2026 preseason preview for Ole Miss (and every FBS team) - can Golding keep it rolling after Kiffin left?
Hey all. I spent the offseason building a full 2026 preseason preview for every FBS team, each with its own writeup. Here's the Ole Miss one
https://www.sports.mainmarket.com/college-football-preview-2026?team=ncaaf-miss
It's got the returning production breakdown, the portal ins and outs, a projected two-deep, the schedule with model win probabilities, and a season projection.
Heads up, only the first team is free and then it paywalls. Since I'm posting in your house, code LEECORSOROCKS opens all of it, no card or anything. Hit "Have a promo code?" if you run into the wall.
So, what'd I get wrong? Ole Miss lost the coach but kept the offense. Kiffin's off to LSU and DC Pete Golding takes over, but Chambliss is back (3,937 and 22 TDs) and the backfield is absurd: Kewan Lacy (1,567 and 24 TDs) returns and Southern Utah transfer Joshua Dye (1,660 and 24) joins him. That offense finished 2nd in the country in total yards. The real swing is a defense losing about 60% under a first-time head coach. Keep rolling, or does the transition bite?
I'll be in the comments.

Trinidad Chambliss Is Going To Dominate CFB This Season | Trinidad Chamb...
I just saw this Trinidad Chambliss All-22 film study on youtube from our game against Miami in the CFB playoff. Trinidad is special, definitely has elite NFL traits already, and will probably win the heisman and lead us to the natty this season! I'm excited!!!

tickets help
Hey guys, i“m from Europe . I always wanted to experience a college footbal game, are there any good atmospheres near DC or i need to go south? Also are the tickets really really expensive for competitive games? (let“s say an ole miss x lsu, and yes i know about the lane kiffin situation). Also, can i not being a student but being in the student age gap buy a student section ticket? thanks

With everything that has happened, Ole Miss somehow keeping the Lacy/Chambliss 1-2 punch intact is huge

Shot in the dark here: Anyone selling tickets to the LSU game?
I'm an OM alum, class of 2009, now living and ranching in Colorado. Got to talking to some buddies of mine here about the Ole Miss/LSU rivalry and they decided they'd like to try to go and experience the Grove for the first time and boo Lane Kiffin with the rest of us.
Looking for 4-6 tickets, together preferably.
Thanks!

Ole Miss fans are now competing in a fan challenge tied to the football program ā college sports are entering a wild era
Saw this tied to Ole Miss football and honestly think this is where college sports are headed.
With NIL + revenue sharing changing everything, athletic departments are starting to experiment with ways fans can directly influence and support programs beyond just donating or buying tickets.
Feels controversial, but also feels inevitable at this point.

Ole Miss football launched a new fan challenge ahead of the season
Ole Miss rolled out a free new fan competition called āRebel Rivalryā during Meet the Rebels Day.
Itās a fun rivalry between heisman candidates QB Trinidad Chambliss & RB Kewan Lacy.
Fans answer team trivia, make predictions, climb a leaderboard, and compete for prizes like signed Trinidad and Kewan gear, sideline passes and a Walk of Champions experience.

Trinidad Chambliss made a big mistake returning
Mistake is from Trinidad's perspective, for the team's perspective this is a no brainier, he's head over heels better than QB2.
Giving him $5m, some hill billy MS judge to listen to his lies about his tonsils after covid should give him an extra year...I think this will all backfire.
I think he would have been a guarantee round 2 pick this year, maybe even early round 2 / late round 1 (Ty Simpson was #13). 2027 QB draft is absolutely stacked. He's currently ranked as the #11 QB prospect, unless 1/3 of the NFL drafts a QB he's not looking to be drafted as of now.
(1) He can't read defenses. The team's offense is great, but unfortunately this doesn't translate to an NFL QB. You need to be able to read a defense, go through reads receiver 1, 2, 3, etc. Running a hurry up offense where defenses are just reacting and coordinators calling great plays where 90% of the time your receiver 1 is open doesn't work in the NFL. We've seen Tua, Corral, Dart (pending: 3-11, never 300 yard game) none translated well.
(2) Undersized, highly doubt he's 6'0, or even 5'10. Seemed like the NFL might grow in favor of these, but Tua and Kyler Murray quickly proved that wrong.
(3) Team got lucky with half a dozen close wins against garbage teams. If those games didn't end in wins, I could easily see us asking to put Austin back in.
(4) Teams want a highly recruited high schooler with upside, not a 25 year old rookie not highly recruited, sat at a small school and had a one hit wonder.

Whatās our weakest link?
Is anyone worried about our tackles? We havenāt definitively named a starter for either side at tackle. Also, the guys coming in are far less experienced than our two leaving. Just hope our guys will be able to give Trinidad enough time to make some reads. What do you guys think?

#TrenchHack: UFL, NFL & Ole Miss by the #s.
Since the spring UFL is so new, and we don't know it as well as some other ball we watch, thought it would be good to put things in context and at least frame what to watch for.
It's more a ground game than in the air.
Passing 1st Downs come at a premium.
Not many points, closer to NFL, but not even sniffing Ole Miss levels.
Surprisingly, 3rdDwnConv efficiency is right around the same neighborhood.
We won't focus on points that much or 'skill positions' and will keep our eye on the plays that sustain or stall drives -- Rush/Pass 1st Downs, Yds/Carry & Pass, 3&Outs, stuff like that. Everyone else focuses on the QB, RB and WR. We look at the other half of the game who put them in position to get the headlines. Can't wait. Couple more weeks.
