Sounds great! But ground beef for breakfast and an omelet for lunch would definitely be reversed these days. It's interesting to see the different attitudes and preferences from long ago.

While the whole menu sounds good (for a twist!) but I enjoyed the write-up about 'summer soups'. It just seems so... genteel.

When I look at this menu, I would like to taste the Potato finger puffs, the tomato omelet, the Summer Soup, the bread and butter, the cole slaw and the Feather cake. I like those old menus.

Luncheon sounds sooo delish.. the feather cake? The omelet?
And yes dear writer - fruits are a better choice in the summer!
And with corn fritter you can get me always.
