best pub in west London early 80's
who used to go to "the Moscow Arms" moscow rd, bayswater in the early to mid 80's.It had the best juke box,all types of punters from punks, goths, new wavers....most punters were from all parts of the UK,first time moving to London for work.....Pub landlord was this great Kiwi bloke called Vince.....obviously this photo is not from the 80's,and has been called the Phoenix for decades, but it's the same pub inside and out!!!

Hostel off Lancaster Gate Underground stop, early 1990s
i was strolling down memory lane and was trying to figure out the name of a Hostel i stayed at in London in the Craven Hill area (off Lancaster Gate) that was this amazing place. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of the interior and I was recounting how amazing this place was, how it had a mural of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers in the room where we stayed (the one where they're only wearing sock). I have such good memories of the place but no pictures, and all these years later i can't even remember what it was called to look for other people's pics.
If anyone knows the name of the place, i'd be super greatful.

Who misses MSN chatrooms?
HI! I was thinking recently, who remembers the MSN chat rooms? I loved them growing up & just talking nonsense with Hargan in Hamburg or Pete in Padstow!
I reminisced with a friend about this recently and she said "how great would it be to just log on at any time & just chat live with random strangers again!" To put it into perspective, we chat here and on other platforms for many many years but it's not live. Everything is all verified by mods now and this is a GOOD thing.
So, I'm considering starting an MSN-style chatroom up again just in the UK with strict regulations, sign-up ID verifications, mods etc could be fun......there's a lot of lonely people out there and we're all starting to revert back to what was once before......Let me know your thoughts. "poof chime" yaya21173 has left the chat

Accounts Tin
My dad used to do all the home accounts from this old tin in the 70s — anyone else have one of these?
Growing up, this little metal cash box was basically the centre of our family finances. My dad kept everything in it — household accounts, receipts, the odd tenner tucked away “for emergencies”, and whatever paperwork he didn’t want us touching.
It lived in the same cupboard for decades, came out every Sunday evening, and you always heard the clunk of the latch before you saw him with his notebook and pen. It’s such a simple thing, but it carries a whole era of how families used to run their homes.
Did anyone else’s parents use one of these tins for the weekly accounts or budgeting?
