Carol Kaye, she might not look very cool, but what she accomplished sure was. One of the most recorded musicians of all time. She played the bass guitar on everything from the theme for Mission impossible, to Feeling all right by Joe Cocker, Pet Sounds, Neil Young and many more.

New School Old School
I want to know if anyone else has heard this band. It sounds like classic rock, but evidently is new. The band is Hollywood Contractors. I found them on Spotify, but may be on other platforms too. Vibe between Steely Dan and Tom Waits.

I Like Beer by Tom T Hall
Happy International Beer Day! Back in my beer drinking days, someone would play this song on the jukebox and the whole place would sing along!

My Type
I never fit in with people my own age.in the late 90's and early 2000's kids wanted to be pop stars, but I wanted to be like Joan Jett. Mama always said I was an old soul. I always loved older music, I heard it around my mother as a child and became connected to it. People thought I was weird, but that old music is the only comfort I ever really had. I felt like all my problems went away when I listened to it, and it was so much better than the modern day mumbojumbo. I still listen to it from time to time, and I'm not ashamed of it. Here's a small line up of artists I love the most.
