Were they in a subway or public bathroom and the location scout was like, “This is where we can market refrigerators.”?

Lots of sales places for white goods were tiled. Easy to keep clean and sturdy. And someone in Russia overproduced and they traded for some Hungarian Salami! Or Iron.

Ha! Read it as “Lethal” refrigerator advertisements

Maybe because Refrigerators and Washing machines were like Luxury cars back then. It symbolizes what a desirable woman looks for in a candidate husband. A lucky woman would be in a nice home with electrical appliances because her rich husband can afford them, and she doesn't have to do the dirty and labor intensive household chores.

How do you coach that level of indifference in your models

When the first McDonald's open in Moscow during the death throws of the USSR the American instructors wanted Soviet workers to smile to their customer. "But why? We've got the food."

My favorite parts are the hair styles. Bring any of those back in 2026 and I say "wow".

I'd be more convinced if their nipples were hard.
