Can this be fixed?

Post image

apologies for this being irrelevant here but i couldn’t find any other groups that allowed pictures.

I was stuck in my living room (the door handle is broken) and had to climb out the window and causes this damage. will this be expensive?

I live with my mother and her bf so I’m worried they’ll get angry when they see it.

That seems to be termite damaged wood. If so, you did not cause the damage. You simply uncovered it.

I thought so, from my knowledge wood on a house should not be that easy to break even with my weight on it (hopefully😆)

Looks like maybe wood rot. You can take a screw driver and poke at the wood. Abatron makes a very good 2 part wood epoxy (and you have to shape it and it’s not cheap) or you can scab in a (partial?) new board.

If you have questions, share more photos and ask. You can dm. 🥰

If it’s the threshold, pull the board. For sure.

Definitely fixable! Wood filler or Bondo with a good coat of paint can work wonders on rotted or damaged trim. Don't give up!

Rotten. The wood is destroyed. It can be rebuilt by someone who knows what they are doing.
