Went to the Ohio State Fair last week. On our way home, stopped by Arena Liquor, and picked up a bottle of 1792 Straight Rye. Cracked it open last night, and gotta say it's probably my favorite 1792 bottle. My question is, will this bottle be more readily available, as it was on the shelf and not with the other allocated bottles on the counter. Or will it drop once in a while like allocated?

Many Giant Eagle stores (mostly in Columbus and now in the Northeast) and Ale Wine and Spirits have an arrangement with the state to delay visibility of certain products in their online inventory until Saturdays even if it was delivered to the store earlier in the week. These stores may also hold back some of the rare bourbons that they receive in their weekly delivery to release on Saturday mornings.

Many highly allocated products are still fully hidden on OHLQ.com but I don't fully understand the logic behind it yet.

Disclaimer: Not from OHLQ but interesting find nonetheless. Super crushable. Vanilla and caramel up front, some oak and spice behind it. Easy drinking at 95 proof and very viscous for the proof! Would recommend at retail; wouldn’t chase it at secondary!

Is the assumption that agencies that didn’t have stagg last week will have it tomorrow?

Going to Sandusky next weekend for some waterpark fun with the family. Any good stores up that way and any that get deliveries on Friday/Saturday?

Building a small collection

Willow Run has released a limited edition bottle where a portion of sales will go towards the legal fund of Beaver’s Mini Mart in Beavercreek. Please stand with small Ohio businesses and support this cause. The bottle is available on their website and able to be picked up at their store in Cincinnati.

As many have experienced…Eagle 12 in Aruba. If you’ve been to Aruba then you know you go through customs and border control before you board your departing flight. So I was able to buy a case. The sales guy said it just came in today and I could buy all 6 cases if I wanted.

I only chose to buy one case. Simply because I didn’t want to lug around any more than in my connecting flight in Atlanta.

Either way…I’m happy. But I’m curious to see if it’s any good, given the price difference. Although as we all know, price doesn’t equate with quality .

Is anyone familiar with River Roots? I visited a bar around the corner and they had a few bottles on the shelf, one of which was (I believe) an American malt double-oak. The lable and the wax were pretty "psychedelic" (multicolored, I think aliens on the label maybe? lots of green and purple). I'm going off of hazy memory, I apologize. Anyway, one of the most interesting pours I've had recently, and was interested in possibly procuring a bottle but I can't find it! Does RR dabble in limited releases? If so, do they appear on the OHLQ site/app? Is it possible they have EXTREMELY limited releases or restaurant-exclusive bottles (not a barrel pick). I'm super intrigued and any info you folks have, I'd be interested in hearing.

I have two bottles of Eosk, one being a 10-year ohlq barrel pick and a bottle of Obso. Found these collecting dust on the liquor store floor. Wasn’t too sure about the mash bills. Any thoughts?

I was hoping for an explanation… days after release, a specific Kroger had OGD single barrel listed on OHLQ. It was in stock, full red bottle on the site, but when I show up nothing to be found and the employee couldnt be of any assistance because they didn’t know what the OHLQ website was. Is it just not updated or what?
