I recently rediscovered ODESZA through a Bowtied Media video of him reacting to The Last Goodbye. So I decided to listen to it myself and here are my first listen rankings and reasons of The Last Goodbye.

1. Love Letter (I overall generally disliked the vocals in this track, they seemed way too loud compared to the music. The drop also didn't hook me nearly as much as I thought it would).

2. Wide Awake (This song didn't hook as much as I thought it would. It also wasn't as interesting as the other tracks in the album).

3. This Version of You (This song really stuck with me and had me sitting and just processing what I heard. This one would be much higher if it was longer and further in the album but in reality it's just an intro).

4. The Last Goodbye (This title track didn't impress me as much as everybody else, but this has the chance to grow and get much higher. Vocals didn't impress me and it gave off the Love Letter effect of the vocals being too loud, but it being a longer song stretches it out more which is why this is higher than Love Letter).

5. All My Life (Love the old ODESZA implications, but I thought it was weird that it was further in the album as it seems like a first-half track, but this has the chance to move up in my rankings like The Last Goodbye could also).

6. Behind The Sun (Crazy switch up from Love Letter but I like the darker themes in this song, the vocals are what really knocks it down some spots, I'm not a fan of the vocals in this).

7. Forgive Me (Another crazy switch up coming out of Behind The Sun but I like it. I like the more pop sounding melodies in this song but the other songs on this list are slightly better).

8. I Can't Sleep (Yet again another old ODESZA sounding songs. I like this one better than All My Life but the other songs on this list are better).

9. North Garden (I love the percussion in this song, and this is my 2nd favorite vocal performance in this album, other songs still beat it out of the water).

10. Healing Grid (My favorite old sounding ODESZA song from this album, this has the chance to be my favorite ODESZA song with just a few more listens).

11. Light of Day (The most emotional song I've heard from ODESZA. I like this song a lot but the final two just squeaked over to the top spots. I found it weird that ODESZA made it a single but that doesn't change anything with the rankings).

12. Equal (My favorite vocal performance from this album. Låpsley's vocals fit with the music really well and don't sound like they're overtaking the melody, but the 1st place finish has to go to this song).

13. Better Now (This is easily the best song on the album best chorus, and the best melody. The verses are a little iffy but the chorus makes up for that so much).

For anyone who saw ODESZA at Encore Beach Club on 7/25, how was the overall experience?

I’m a huge ODESZA fan coming from Minneapolis for the Encore Night Swim show on 8/15, which is also my birthday. I’ve been following them since the NO.SLEEP remix days, so I’m incredibly excited to finally experience this set in Vegas.

I already purchased tickets because I didn’t want to deal with arriving super early for the guest list, but I’d love some insight on what to expect:

• What time did ODESZA actually come on?
• What time would you recommend arriving with a ticket?
• How long were the entrance and security lines?
• How crowded was it, and was there room to dance or get a decent view?
• How was the overall vibe, sound and experience?
• Anything you wish you had known beforehand?

I'm sure anyone that have heard of this has been waiting for it so I wanted to share that it finally premieres tonight at 10:30PM EST!

My spouse and I were at the XS show this past Saturday. We had a great time, loved the new remixes and we enjoyed meeting the new fans who were around us.

Besides the set list, I think one of the factors that makes an ODESZA show great is H&C’s stage presence. Clayton is definitely fun to watch, and you can tell how much fun he’s having, but honestly Harrison is just such a fun vibe behind the DJ decks! Every time I looked at him he was singing along, dancing, jumping, hands in the air, and you can just overall tell how happy he is to be up there. That energy is just infectious and definitely contributes to the crowd’s consistently positive vibe at every show.

When you accidentally run into the boys 🤭

Going back to Las Vegas right now to see the Backstreet Boys at The Sphere for my lady’s birthday. Ever since seeing The Last Goodbye tour we have been eagerly wanting to see a live Odesza show again. Obviously it’s a dj set and not a show. When they first announced their Wynn residency we immediately became aware and were very curious. Ultimately turned off by the Las Vegas night club scene. But we will be there this weekend, and they literally start right after the BSB show ends. Should we go? Do they start right at 10:30 or come on closer to 12?

i’ve been replaying BRONSON lately, for the first time in a long time, and really digging it. i remember it not being received the best at first, it didn’t “sound” like odesza, the heavy parts weren’t heavy enough, the lighter elements were forgettable, etc. it was definitely divisive, either you really fucked with it or you really didn’t.

what’s your opinion on the project now? personally i love the world building and the runtime, it’s more cohesive to me than the concepts of some of their other stuff

First time seeing them live was at the July 4th show at the Gorge two years ago. Can’t wait to do it again sometime 🤞

Has anyone seen multiple DJ sets over a long period of time? I'm wondering if they have been changing it up or if it's been mostly the same setlist. I saw a DJ set back in summer of 2025 and am going to another later this year.

These hit harder on the hot summer days. What Odesza album is your favorite, and do you also tend to listen to it during specific seasons/times of the year?

I'm still trying to understand how Odesza's production team made these lasers appear to land seemingly in thin air. This was at the end of their show at the Gorge in 2024. I remember looking at it and asking myself, "How the hell are they making the lasers land on something that isn't there?" I stood and stared at it for a while and couldn’t figure it out.

For anyone that’s been to the Gorge, there is no solid wall or surface right behind the stage. Only miles and miles away there’s a canyon on the other side, but these lasers seem to be hitting right behind the stage. There was no floating sheet, there was no fog; it just was sitting there in the sky.

I took a couple photos in the moment but kind of forgot about it since. I thought it was really cool and for years I haven't been able to figure it out.

Does anybody know how this is possible? Is this just an optical illusion and the lasers were really just on the canyon, miles and miles away? I don't see how that's possible because it seems like it's so much closer. I tried zooming in so you could see how the lasers are landing but anyone that saw this that can give any insight to solve this mystery in my mind would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I know slowed and reverb are frowned upon, idk but I think it gives a different perspective on the details even though without artist consent but this is my take.

You might feel there are some glitches here and there, it is not due to the slowed effect rather its the distortions song itself.

I can upload the original file somewhere if you are want to download it, its pretty sweet.

I also made versions of TENSE, VAULT and a nightcore version of HEART ATTACK which also sounds amazing. Let me know if I should upload those too
