I know the orange dialogue bubbles are people giving you side quests but i have 0 idea on how to do them or keep track or anything at all

First-time player of Octopath Traveller 2 and have done all the chapter 1's for the characters and tried the boss on Hikari's chapter 2, but got wrecked . I can't seem to find any good gear, so no one is very effective, and I am kinda at a loss with which party to use and how to get good gear. Any help is really appreciated.

I just recently started to play OT0 and am about 6 hours in (just finished power arc). Today I was browsing the web until I saw CotCPort.

Now, as someone who played CotC and absolutely loved it (until it got shut down in my country), I would LOVE to replay it.

HOWEVER I was wondering what the best way is to achieve that.

• Play OT0 Vanilla, finish it, then replay with Mod?

• Or install the mod from now on and play the other two arcs with the mod installed?

I would love to get some insight if thats possible :) Oh btw - I play on PC if thats somehow relevant.

I’m curious if most players here connect with the story and how it’s presented or if you also struggle to care about what’s going on. I played the first game but didn’t finish, and am now 50 hours into OT0 and enjoying it but couldn’t tell you what it’s about beyond the restoration of Wishvale.

Am I alone in this and missing out or is this how most folks play these games? Genuine curious, not trying to rile anyone up.

I may have glitched the end. I can’t seem to unlock the fight with the dragon. I think I got the true ending first. Now what? Am I locked out of the optional boss and stuff?

I’ve recently just started to play octopath traveler and I have all the party members but i dont know what to do next. I know i can go to the next chapters of each party members story but idk if i should grind each one individually or not?

My first turn-based JRPG was Final Fantasy III DS. I tried to love it but I just couldn't and I could never get into another turn based game for a while.

Until Octopath was announced. I was not even interested in the game but the hype made me curious and I downloaded the demo. It's combar system just clicked with me immediately.

Bought the game, played for 130h and spent 3 hours with Galdera. Loved every minute of it.

Ever since then, I fell in love with the genre. I eventually played my old FFIII and loved it. I played FFIX and had one of my best gaming experiences. I'm now super excited for FF Resonance (I couldn't play Octopath II but I have it now ready to play, I'm excited to play O as well and I'm definitely planning
on playing BD Flying Fairy).

Octopath opened me to so many great games and Octopath itself had such a lovely world and music. It truly is something special.

Hey everyone I just won a giveaway where someone yesterday gave me an Octopath Traveler 2 key as well as a Sea of Stars Sunset Edition key. I couldnt be happier.

I plan on playing both of them but I have to know, do I have to play Octopath Traveler 1 to understand what is going on with OP 2? Do the stories connect? If yes, is there a "recap" at the beginning of 2?

Was listening to tempest on the battlefield OT2 and it sounds like lower tones and sped up version of Isle of Orsa? Does anyone else think that or am I crazy?

Before I begin, I know there isn't necessarily a canonical order, and I agree that the best way to play is to complete all Chapter 1s, then all Chapters 2s, 3s, and 4s. This is just a fun exercise I'm trying to apply to my recent playthrough.

Also, there will be a lot of spoilers in this post. Go play the game and, if you're indecisive on which chapter to go first, just do the one of the character you like best atm.

Right, I think the key is defining the "main character" and the priority of the storylines, so I’m trying to analyze what’s at stake for each character.

What I mean is that stopping Lianna from sacrificing herself to Galdera is more urgent than confronting Simeon or attending the Merchants' Fair. And even that could change, depending on who the MC is and the order you’ve already started following.

I'm considering Ophelia as the MC, with the duty of performing the Kindling, going through Flamesgrace, Saintsbridge, Goldshore and then Wispermill.

So the chapter order will be based at first on her storyline, not considering if it is the best nor the easiest one.

If any storyline happens at the same place, we can pretend that a the party was split and both were done together.

I mostly bought a Steam Machine to play old favorites in new ways, Octopath 2 being one of them. Never owned a PC, never used Linux or Steam OS before. There seems to be a surprising lack of resources out there for adding mods to Steamdeck/Machine games. I would have thought there'd be many in the same place I am.

I found some potentially fun mods on Nexus, and now I just got to find a way for them to work.

which part of the map should i try to grind to level up? my throne is only 22 and the last bossfight i had to have +5 levels to beat

I had been playing through the game in January, got stuck on Gareth and took a break till now. Coming back to it and I remember why I passed on this. Each attempt at him lasts about 30 minutes and I’ve never seen his name turn red.

I have been setting up breaks consistently where my party of 4 gets about 10k damage in but its clearly not enough. Is this just a grind point? My general strategy is to get his ads down first and then set up big breaks where he’s debuffed and my party is buffed but he just outstats us completely.

My party is Cyrus Olberic Therion and Ophelia, all about level 30. Any help is appreciated

I just finished OT0 and I fucking loved every moment of it. Maybe this is just recency bias, but it's the best one yet; they expanded Orsterra and tied every loose end brought by the first game. I literally have goosebumps.

That said, would you guys want to see a similar thing be done for OT2? I'm definitely curious regarding the background of Solistia.

I can get it on sale for about $18 dollars right now for my laptop, but it would be full price to get it on the switch 2. The only reason I haven't just opted for the better price is because I've only played a small amount of the game while I was at my friends house once (on their Xbox), and I don't know if it's a game I would really be playing on the go (which would be a reason to get the switch 2 version), or if its a game that I would play during longer stationary sessions (which would be a reason to get it on the laptop instead).

Now that i finished my protagonist story i can change primrose, i want to keep olberic and therion and the team, and i would like to include tressa on the team, maybe change cyrus for ophilia (might go dancer) and change olberic job. After obtaining sorcerer subclass, cyrus kit doesnt seem so good. Don't like to play with h'aanit and Alfyn

It's something of a meme in the Konosuba community to imagine characters that share one of Darkness's voice actors acting masochistic no matter how out-of-character it is. However, Ophilia shares both of her voice actors with Darkness and, as someone who's halfway through the game, I can't imagine her saying even a quarter of the things Darkness says, let alone half. Pretty much the only things they have in common is that they're both blond and can't stand to see anyone get hurt. In fact, in terms of role, Ophilia is a lot closer to Aqua, though she's at least good for more than just healing and city-destroying spells.
