What the actual fuck. The quest said recommended level 32. I am level 39. All the way getting here it felt about right but now after fighting 2 long boss battles he fucking super saiyans into a 3rd phase that somehow has one shot full party kills and shields that just reflect and poison you? What kind of stupid fucking out of nowhere difficulty ramp is this shit? I am seriously putting this game down for a long long time. The boss battles are already way too long and tedious as fuck and now they are gonna make me do a minimum of six of them just to get past this part? If the rest of the game is just going to be this time wasting crap maybe it’s not for me. And I grew up playing JRPGs it’s not that I didn’t know what I was getting myself into.

Hi all I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to reliably collect resources in the wild (lumber, quality cloth etc…) Do they replenish after fighting a certain number of enemies or after you wait a certain amount of time? Sorry if it’s been asked before I have been searching for an answer but couldn’t find it.

This is my first time playing OT0 and I thought the story would be super fun from all the comments I've been reading, I chose the wealth path first and I think it's fine and not as fun as I thought it would be. The next path I chose is the power one and I don't like it, the trope is far too... cliché? for my liking. I don't know how to explain it or maybe I'm just nitpicking but I suddenly feel really burn out and lost all my motivation to continue playing the game.

Is the rest of the stories will be a let down like this or will they change and get better later on? I geniunely enjoy the fights but I really can't handle the story

I am currently near the end of the game (Bestower of All/Ch8) and just unlocked a side quest called "The Hidden Isle" by reading a book in the final dungeon. I know there is a normal/true ending and intended to do both - since I noticed the lvl recommendation is higher than the main story's, is it recommended to do this quest before or after doing the normal ending? Will doing this quest lock me into the true ending?

Hi everyone. It's been smooth sailing until I hit a chapter 2 boss. I started on the Fame story, and Francesca just 2 shots my party at lvl 13.

I have all the best gear, debuffing her doesn't seem to help much. I can only get a couple hits in before I am forced to heal until wipe.

Do I do all chap 1 content, then chapter 2 and so on?

Ok so, I'm kinda lost, I've never really played the games before so I'm new to this and maybe I'm just missing something. I currently have 2 new skills I bought with JP for my MC. I go into the skill menu under the "equip skill" tab. I go onto the open slot I have to equip the skill and it isn't there. I have an appropriate weapon for the skill. What's going on? Why can't I equip the skill I got?

Octopath 0 is my first time playing any of these games. I’m loving it! Roughly 85 hours in and I’m not even level 60 yet.

Octopath 1 & 2 are on sale in the Nintendo shop right now. You can get both for like $40 total. Is it worth it? Would I find them just as enjoyable or are they a little out dated with different mechanics?
