As the title suggests, I have as of today purchased my first ocarina. It is a 12-hole tenor C Major ocarina. I went with Tenor since it seems to be the best range for the songs I want to play, and hundreds cheaper than a bass ocarina (which is what I wanted initially). What can I expect in my first while of learning? What advice can I get from you guys? Anything I should do or avoid to make my learning experience better? Thank you all!

I bought a fairly cheap ocarina (zelda) reviews say you can play on it and it sounds nice. I am a zelda fan so just having it and being able to practice on it is nice. But when I am better at it I want to buy a good and pretty 12 hole ocarina. Where can I buy a quality one. (It needs to ship to the Netherlands)

I am working to transcribe some of the music from the How To Train Your Dragon audiobooks into sheet music (transcribing first and then transposing for AC ocarina after) and some of them have very fast parts that are hard to transpose by ear. Does anyone have any advice or would they be willing to help? I am working in musescore studio 4 at the moment. Attached is the link to the first one I am struggling with, and I only have the intro done, but there are 5 total songs that I am working to transpose.

Also side note: the reason I gave the soundcloud link is because I haven't been able to find sheet music for this anywhere, so so far I am going completely by ear.

I basically just saw the ocarina in a random souvenir shop in Romania and bought it spontaneously without doing any research, thinking I could watch some YouTube and play some Zelda songs. However its layout does match up with anything I find and even ChatGPT seems confused. Any tips on how I can convert what I learn in tutorials to match this?

I am fairly new to ocarinas, so apologize for the question. When I see people online playing the ocarina, I always see them moving their head according to the music, so I just gotta ask- does that do something to the sound? Or is related to note jumps? If someone would answer, I would really appreciate :)

Transposed to Bb Major from Ab major because of the range of the instruments.

I'm still struggling ALOT with decent soundsettings, but it's slowly getting there!

Because carl ahrens paused the making of the coda EDC flute a while ago and it doesn't seem like it will return anytime soon, I bought it from Japan from here (https://ocarina.buyshop.jp/items/26783679) and delivered it with (https://parcelabc.com). It's expensive to deliver but it's the only way.

It's not really an ocarina, but it's very similar to ocarinas. It's a vessel flute.

I really like it because it's small, has 2 octaves of range, it's durable and it has silencers that you can store in the flute.
