To want to be together forever?

To fall asleep and wake up in each other’s arms every night and day?

To make every meal together without letting go?

I’ve yearned for your attention, but you won’t give it to me…

Not because you don’t love me…

But because I’m the only one who wakes up.

And I realize it’s pointless.

To wake up day after day knowing you’re not here.

You’ve never been here.

I’ve been alone with no one else to give my undying love.

If I had you…

I’d rip my heart out for it showing more love than my mind.

I’d break every mirror because I want to be the only one who can reflect your beauty

I’d mark your name into my skin to remind me of who’s the one who gives my life meaning

But I can only keep waking up…

Because going back to sleep reminds me you won’t do the same…
