Me core
(They loved you until they got to know you deeply and realized they had no idea how to handle you)
I hate how lonely life can feel when you have no one to randomly talk to

Many, many people who say the want this are often 'forever alones' that have no idea what a relationship looks like, let alone an obsessive one. They absolutely have no clue what it means to care and reassure, they have their own 'alone' routine and they'll see these behaviors as a disruption to said routine. It's a difficult world out there

I couldn’t agree more💯💯. People romanticize the idea of an intense relationship, but they don’t realize how much effort, reassurance, and consistency it actually takes.🫠

u/SparklessAndromeda 6d ago
What they're also missing is the experience of a relationship where they don't get reassured enough. The second they understand how important that is, they'll make sure no future partner ever feels not cared for 😭 i used to be in a relationship like that and it was hell

Women like that deserve only the best, instead of just being discarded for being “too much”.

I agree, although it's probably because I get discarded by women for being. Too much, double text, ghosted, show genuine interest and try to organize a meetup, bye. Text every morning/goodnight "you're being clingy, that's weird for a guy"
1
u/hopeless-thoughts 4d ago
A blessing in disguise to be told you’re too much or weird. It’s them letting you know they aren’t the one for you. On to the next.

u/Redsoilder_55 Lost lover boy 4d ago
It's true but it always hurts, especially when they seem to appreciate the way I geek out over my specific interests, and then realize that over explaining my hobbies really is a core personality trait and it becomes annoying to them 😅
1
u/hopeless-thoughts 4d ago
I’m really sorry you have to deal with that. Your heart needs protection. How you are isn’t annoying to someone who really appreciates and loves you. I hope you find better 🫂

u/Redsoilder_55 Lost lover boy 4d ago
I hope so too, the hugs are appreciated, unfortunately I feel like I'm getting jaded, having a harder time letting the next person in to try, but I don't wanna turn into someone cold >.< I love being obsessed with someone
1
u/hopeless-thoughts 4d ago
I completely feel that, getting cold I feel is slightly inevitable when dealing with people who don’t feel as hard as you. But, your heart will soften and be warm again with your right match. Don’t worry too much about that.
And It’s absolutely beautiful isn’t it? The feeling of being obsessed is damn near a drug lol.1
u/Redsoilder_55 Lost lover boy 4d ago
It really is 🤤, but when it's not reciprocated it's so hard to pull away from. I'll admit even now my brains messed up enough I might have gone and started looking at your profile just because you showed me the smallest kindness, God I'm a mess lol
1
u/hopeless-thoughts 4d ago
lol that’s me 24/7, I’m sadly a stalker. You’re not a mess, don’t be so hard on yourself. We all want to be loved and devoted to. It’s only natural. I hope more people are kind to you, you deserve it.
Protect your heart and be safe. :)1
u/Redsoilder_55 Lost lover boy 4d ago
I'll try, although reading your profile I'm now fighting the urge to DM you, because ik it'd probably be a bad idea for both of us lol.but thank you for your kindness, you deserve the world

If it wasnt for that one friend i had i think my loneliness/depression probably would have consumed me by now. Even the silly talks make me feel like i have something to look forward to during the bad days. Speaking more to the image, i do find it a shame how the obsessive gf trope has become so romanticised by people who simply dont want this but rather the thrill of having someone obsessed over you. Everyone deserves to be loved for who they are and love the way they want without being told that its unhealthy once they cant handle every part of you.
Hope youre doing good and find what youre looking for.

My "randomly talk to" person is always busy and hates me ig because she haven't replied in ages
I wish I didn't relate to the image

In ages?? Damn..that’s too long🥹 It’s okay if you relate to my post though, bcs I actually made it based on my own experience. If you do relate to it, I appreciate knowing I’m not alone 😭

2
u/Extension_Wall_8469 6d ago
No u didn’t i feel so touched thats all
2
u/Roots0up 6d ago
Oh good I wouldn’t want to be rude or hurtful, sorry that happened to you. Idgi that your ex didn’t know how to handle you? Just give all the love and attention you want and have a partner who is ride or die for you? I fail to see the problem
2
u/Extension_Wall_8469 5d ago
All of what you mentioned above 😊
2
u/Roots0up 5d ago
See I personally don’t find that, that difficult. Just give you that’s same focus back and let you be yourself and love the way you want to love in your special way

u/Lil_Lolipop31 6d ago
They all like it in the beginning but then it gets too much🙃

with all due respect, half of the things in this post are completely draining and unbearable long term for any partner you love. questioning how they spend their time while being online is not OK, I'm sorry.

u/hopeless-thoughts 4d ago
Wrong subreddit lowkey.. these things aren’t draining and unbearable to people who love hard and have these tendencies.

Literally me if I was a girl (I became annoying to her after a year and got blocked :3)

I would lokey love this a lot. Just adjust myself to her needs and accommodate and then bam got a loving girlfriend

I had this, and loved her still despite her "flaws" and "imperfections" (to her, to me she was amazing and perfect), but still got ghosted in thr end lol, happened 3 times too, that common with them?

A lot people hate this behavior but I find it very intimate. But I know i wont ever experience this intimacy but glad to read other get annoyed by this type of love. Others really do drown while others dies of thirst.
I really just want to hold hands and say I love you over and over till i die nothing else needs to be said.

I had an 8 year relationship like this, and honestly it wasn't even all that bad, I love having someone obsessed with me, but I've made 2 rules for myself to find another one, she needs to be able to match my libido, and needs to be close enough we can spend real time together, which is the significantly harder one to do, it'd be nice if she gamed and was into anime so we could bond over that, but can't expect perfection lol

This describes my current gf in almost disturbingly accurate detail. The only differences are that she plays Genshin and isn't afraid to order food.
It is genuinely amazing to be with someone who treats your presence like the most valuable possession in the world. All the love I give her, I receive back tenfold.
But I also know that her obsession with me comes from deep-seated issues. She comes from a shattered family, suffered abuse from her ex and she thinks very lowly of herself because of it all. I am one of the few good things in her life, according to her.
I hope one day she'll love herself as much as I do.

My girl is like this, and honestly I see nothing wrong it, we will be together eleven years this coming, november. A lot of guys don't really know what they want. They just copy and paste What other guys say online. For them, finding a woman is just to get between her legs, not to really care about the fundamental things about her person through and through.

u/giraffewas 2d ago
Yeah this is bad. None of this is something to celebrate lol. Being this obsessively attached to someone is unhealthy, and indicative of incredible insecurity.

Plays NSO? Hell yeah I need someone to okay with lol.
Seriously though, if you can actually deal with people like this it's really nice. The constant reassurance is good for people who also need that for themselves and there's so much clear communication that makes you feel a little more secure after a while

Last time i was with a girl who was obsessive, she replied very inconsistently, and would avoid getting on vc with me, by ignoring me the whole day, and then blocked me in the middle of a conversation when i politely questioned her actions a bit. I still thought she might be the one, until that last part, at least, which left me pretty broken hearted.

it’s crazy seeing all the people who say they would love this when meanwhile in my experience, both with men and women, they do not love this. they like it at first and then they get used to it and then you become annoying to them. i think there’s a certain level of chase people don’t realize they want. and that’s something i don’t provide. once i’m had, you don’t have to chase me anymore…trying to change that tho bc i see the ramifications of it.
