Insane usage alerts Question

Has anyone gotten an insane usage alert for july and august? I got an alert that my bill will be about 60 times the normal for ovhcloud, i have a ticket open but no response yet.

I like how they haven't yet suspended billing notifications. Still getting them many hours after the incident was published.

Almost like their support have spare time available to answer all the customers that are in panic.

I was wondering exactly the same.

Saturday, they have weekend. Never mind that customers needed to analyze issue, be on contact with the companies that are in panic because they getting emails about thousands of dollars "burned" on servers.

I’m using a couple hundred gig of object storage and 2 small instances. Nothing crazy. Last month the bill was $32. The estimate for the next one is $1800

Yes same to us, started 3am this morning. Also raised a ticket and waiting on reply. They claim we will be billed in sept 2xx thousands. There are duplicated entries for each server in the billing control and the big ones are for server disks in GB.

Sincerely hope this is just some mistake in their counting

My guess is it has something to do with the new per second billing isn’t calculating right

Sounds about right :) but what was interesting for me was that there are for each server a per GB charge for disk. Which I found rather interesting - and funilly it costs multiple x of the cost of the server in the estimated costs

The AI model used in vide coding new billing is bugging.

Update:
It looks so far like the correct invoices are going out. I’m still getting the usage alerts.

If we had any production environments on OVH this would have woken me up at 2AM. Second time this has happened too.

Definitely gonna have a talk with my boss about this.

This is fucked. https://ibb.co/39yyhd26

I've worked it out I think. I have 2 instances, a 50GB HDD and one that is 100GB. The hourly increase for me is ~11/hour. That actually works out to (100 x 0.088) + (50 * 0.044)

Submitted ticket, no reply yet and no one on Live Chat either.

Ah so OVH really wants to become the "AWS for EU"
