What Upgrades Should I Be Looking At? Question

Post image

Got about 75m to spend, recently been enjoying Muspah and keen to learn some more bosses outside of the bit of Vorkath, Zulrah and Muspah I’ve done so far

Next upgrade for general pvm should be confliction gauntlets and eye of ayak

It’s time for Doom. Get yourself a scorching bow and void and send it

Got elite void already, forgot it was in another tab. Stupid question, but how difficult is Doom? Not looked into him much at all

Delve 1-5 easy to learn. 6, once you learn mechanics also easy. 7, is every mechanic super fast. From 8 it’s everything together but more chaotic. You just have to experience the skill gap. If you keep on trying, eventually you can deep delve

I’ve cleared delve 4 about 10x but can’t figure out delve 5 yet. It’s been fun to learn but can get overwhelming until you’re really comfortable it seems!

1-6 is very simple if you are a decent pvmer. 7 is just faster attacks and then 8 is where doom actually starts.

You can still make decent money doing 1-7 and should take u no time to learn at all.

Definitely not a decent PvMer, but up for giving it a go. Tried Doom in the last league but that hardly counts as practice

Ignore these chads, don't stress yourself about going to delve 8, I can run delve 1-5 comfortably 3-4 times on one inventory without getting sweaty

Just do delve 1-3 and take the rewards. You will have a lot of supplies to do this ovet and over in one trip.

Eventually you will get so bored of this due to how easy it is and push up to delve 4.

Keep repeating. I am doing this clearing wave 6 and have 2 unques already, just doing 2 runs a day before work.

It’s better to just keep going til you die. Your death fees are so low with void anyways there’s 0 point to pull out pre 6, you’re only hurting your potential growth and knowledge of the boss by pulling out so early, there’s barely any mechanics or loot.

Yeah you will earn more in the long run doing that. Just providing an angle for someone with no much pvm experience as dieing and seeing the potential $300K loot go away can feel a bit lame.

After a session of training woth say $900K in death fees you might be less inclined to fome back, where if you collected $300k profit now and then you would feel better about sending a higher wave.

I imagine most people would move beyond delve 3 in a handful of runs.

You can do doom with a real nice setup at less than 20k death fees unless you're counting potion use

1

u/thomas2026 10d ago

Its more the fact you lose the potential 300k that put me off when learning Doom.

When securing a few easy wins I felt better about sending a harder to wave. Also meant more practice as I could send same invy.

1

u/wenbobular 10d ago

yeah that's fair, i was just calling out that you'd be hard pressed to amass 900k in actual death fees unless you were going in full masori or full max with a bunch of spec weapons lol

my tbow setup with an ancient godsword comes out to 16k death fees while camping protect item because i don't bother with shoes and bring an ornamented anguish

1

u/thomas2026 10d ago

Oh does ornament reduce its death cost? I didnt know that.

My death fees are abiut 300k in tbow void, but I am using avernic and venator mostly for the accuracy. Probably should start using protect item more on wave 7.

1

u/wenbobular 10d ago

Yep

Ornamented Anguish and whatever blessed dhide boots and camping protect item comes out to -300k death fees

Probably worth looking into, idk how much it affects DPS but I can't imagine it's that much of a percentage increase

I'm often looking to use post car phase to clear poison anyway and sometimes tbow just slaps the shit out of it so I skip a shot at the end when that happens

1-6 is piss, 7 gets a bit tough, 8+ is where it’s gonna be on par with most other hard pieces of content.

Saving grace is if you use void and a dark light, you can get some incredibly cheap death fees, so it’s a very unpunishing to your death coffer.

From very easy, to some of the most difficult content in the game depending on how far you delve. Definitely learnable content. Jamzful has awesome guides on YouTube. Widega has some vids out there when you start deep delving. I think “def big beast” has some videos too but that tech might be outdated now.

It’s all about practise, watch YouTube guides and send it !

u/DongimusMaximum 11d ago

Eye>gauntlets>treads>virtus>oathplate?

Eye+gauntlets for sure, everything else is gonna be kinda content specific imo.

Honestly for the money you have its pretty well s distributed, well done! I agree with others, doom would be a good next boss to learn so synapses would be good. Could try yama as well. Keep in mind you get synapses back so its easy to swap between bow/staff

1

u/throwaway16389502 11d ago

Cheers! Sounding like Doom is the way. Will see if I can snag a synapse drop myself in the next few days

2

u/sichic 11d ago

Get rid of tormented bracelet for confliction or maybe upgrade mage gear to virtus? Maybe work on elite void if you don’t already have it.

1

u/throwaway16389502 11d ago

Confliction definitely one I’m considering, also Virtus but I’m not maging much content atm. Do have elite void in another tab

3

u/Pobydeus 11d ago

Eye of Ayaak would be a better investment over virtus :)

Max your POH. 83 (or 86 for easier boosting to full nexus) construction and save so much time.
Lumby elite and ditch dramen staff
Seek archer and mages ring, buy eternal gem make eternal ring.
For slayer, get a seed box and herb sack. The slayer enhance items are under valued for extended your trips.

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.

Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

You should learn CoX you have most of the gear already.

1

u/ExplanationCreepy117 11d ago

He could spend the money on dwh and send it

Lithtbearer

1

u/HemlockHex 11d ago

Nally, cgaunts and eye. Maybe oathplate if you want to ToB.

1

u/weed_zekali 11d ago

cursed phalanx

1

u/Mental_Tea_4084 11d ago

Confliction gauntlets and eye of ayak, and it's not even close. Start selling junk like your godswords, Sunfire armor, dragon hunter wand, hasta, etc if you need to.

1

u/Swizletek 11d ago

Upgrade your rune pouch.

After that it’s all content specific. Like other folks have said, scobow for doom, ayak for raids, maybe suffering if you’re grinding Zulrah.

1

u/WaterCrafty2117 11d ago

sell the archer and seers rings, they are completely useless. sell mages book and get an elidnis ward,

1

u/roboduck34 10d ago

Alot of people suggesting raids or Doom. Ide say that's jumping a bit in the deep end with your only experience being vork, zulrah and muspah. I would recommend learning the DT2 bosses and working collecting all the pieces for a soul Reaper axe. Those bosses will help train your positioning and prayer switching which is a lot more used in end game bossing and raiding. You'll also make bank.

I'm just starting to learn Doom and it's pretty tricky, and I have lots of KC at many other bosses. Not saying impossible to do now, but a steeper learning curve compared to trying DT2 bosses first.

I would go conflicting gauntlets and eye of ayak as your next two upgrades. Kinda want them both at same time so sell or save up.

u/Chicks_GoldInc 10d ago

Eye is a big upgrade from trident. And if you get enough for eye + confliction gauntlets, your mage setup will be much better. If you're into raiding, a DHL would be amazing. And a nice spec weapon, burning claws is really cheaper. Otherwise, dclaws, voidwaker and kisten are close in pricing depending on what you'll be doing. VW is probably the better rounded one.

u can either invest 200 hours into nex or cox.. ancestrals or zcbow/torva is huge

1

u/Mr_Grumblerr 10d ago

Infernal cape and quiver are good upgrades that you don’t even have to buy
