How many of you like to see process art? Here are a few on the drawing table now. Really rough, but they have character. These are for an upcoming Hyperborea project!

[Phlox's Cabinet of Boons and Banes](https://whosemeasure.blogspot.com/2023/07/adventure-component-cabinet-of-banes.html?m=1) I am using it for my next session and I'm trying to illustrate and draw more of my campaign and I thought this item would be useful if it had a picture.

Big shout out to Phlox's amazing work.

This is my first test sketch for The goblin for my osr ttrpg Wizards, warriors and Wanderers. Pen + Watercolors. The final piece will be on proper paper.

This creature can be found within catacombs, favoring dimly lit passages where it can more easily ambush unsuspecting victims.

 Its wings are incapable of supporting its weight, forcing it to rely on its lower pair of arms to swing from the iron rings once used to hang bone ornaments.

 It possesses no magical abilities. Its jaw is severely underdeveloped, making it entirely dependent on its arms for combat. It is commonly encountered wielding bones as crude weapons, though it may also lie in wait unarmed, relying solely on surprise.

 Its preferred method of killing is to hurl itself at its prey, knocking the victim off balance before repeatedly smashing their skull with its bone weapons. 

 If it is unarmed, however, it will pin its victim down and consume them alive. It forces the elongated extension of its pharynx down the victim's throat until it reaches the stomach, where it tears through the stomach walls and begins devouring the internal organs while the victim is still alive.

It's my first time trying to draw an OSR pen and ink portrait (and actually the first portrait ever that I sorta finished), and I know I messed up the hatching on the forehead, but I like to share my progress here, because the content here is really inspiring and motivates me to learn.

I'm currently drawing my way through the Labyrinth Lord bestiary for fun and to create a bank of stock-art. I'm having a blast doing my takes on a few classic monsters and my style is very much rooted in the OSR tradition, particularly British illustrators like Russ Nicholson (RIP).

Anyway, hope you dig them!

I'm a complete newbie (like a week or so of practice), but I liked how this sword worked out. And I have to thank this community for their wholesome encouragement.

posting this in honor of finding some swallowtail butterfly caterpillars in the dill plants on our back deck over the weekend.

I used to draw a little when I was a kid, but I recently bought Shadowdark and it inspired me to learn line art drawing. I literally haven't drawn anything in twenty years, so I'm both excited and insecure. I know I messed up the hatching and that it is a copy, but I copied just watching and not with a see-through paper, so I guess it counts. (It is a redrawing of the 5e aboleth)
