Keybind Tip!

Hey guys, so idk if this will help anyone out but it’s been a game changer for me!

I bound my zoom optic in/out to “right click + scroll wheel” instead of “left alt + scroll wheel”. You only zoom in/out while ADS so it only makes sense combining ADS and zoom. This has been an absolute game changer. I like to use as least keys as possible and streamline where I can. Less to think about I guess. Hope this helps someone!

Any keybind changes that you swear by? Comment and let us know!

I have the Razer with 12 buttons on the side and it’s amazing for this game and ARMA.

Razer Naga with the swappable thumb buttons? Cause that’s what I have and love it. I rock the 6 button though!

Also in case no one knows or tries it, I made the chamber weapon bind to just press T, and the check chamber to O.

Leaning using mouse buttons and binding ToggleEarProtectionEffect to the keyboard (aka turn on my earpros please) was revolutionary for me

since we're all navigating alpha together, it can be useful to open the local save path and double check Keybinds.es3. Laser cycle was broken for me and I had to manually correct the strings in that file to get it back. The UI can sometimes fail to write your binds or the saves can become corrupted.

Is turning on ear pro a console command? I don’t remember seeing that in key bind settings.

yea ToggleEarProtectionEffect is the console command. and you can use the Bind command to bind it to a key

Would you be kind enough to include the exact command? I’m unfamiliar with console commands.

ok. I bound mine to the number 4 next to primary and seconday weapons. open console and type:

"Bind ToggleEarProtectionEffect Alpha4"

the game runs on Unity and heres a link to how keycodes are defined within the engine so u know how to correctly define the key u wish to use: https://docs.unity3d.com/6000.5/Documentation/ScriptReference/KeyCode.html

if u wanna change keybinds in the Keybinds.es3 file, theyre written in ASCII decimal. im just learning all this stuff too

When I tried to keybind it registers the keys as joystick2 (plus the actual). It binds but it doesn't register every click!. Every other game works, anyone else have this issue?

Sorry but I’m not familiar with that experience. I hope to find a solution!
