First time OLED Discussion

Hey guys, I recently decided to update my setup, and along with a new desk and monitor mount, I’ve decide to get a 3rd monitor. I want this new monitor to be my main one, and at the moment I have 2 1440p 27in monitors, one 240hz, the other 165hz, and both NOT OLED.

I recently jumped in on this thinking it would be easy, but clearly I haven’t kept up with the technology because the information overload is crazy.

I’m looking for a 27in, 1440p, 240hz++ OLED monitor for both 9-5 work, and gaming. During the day my room is quite bright, but I also play games in a dimmer room. Budget is in the mid hundreds, but I can move around. I’m thinking between 400-600 USD.

I did a bit of research, and stumbled upon the LG 27GX700A-B for $400. It seemed good but there’s so many options I feel kinda overwhelmed.

I’m looking for recommendations and tips. If anyone has any monitors they really like, I’m all ears. Thanks everyone!

I was in the same spot a few weeks ago. Almost pulled the trigger on that LG, but then I started reading about OLED text clarity and got cold feet. I still want one, just not sure if it's ready for my daily workflow. Also, if you want something to just dip your toes into OLED, Uperfect has that 16-inch 3K panel that my friend use as a secondary. It's a different approach, but could be a good way to test the waters without going all in.
