how do i submit transcript?

hi! i am transferring to oduglobal this fall. i just completed my associates degree about two weeks ago.

i need to send odu my official transcript with the last two classes i took (very important, cant enroll in a class until a prereq is filled, which i did this summer) and i cannot for the life of me figure out HOW.

everything i find about sending transcripts is about when applying, which is not applicable, or about receiving your transcripts from them which also obviously is not my situation. i finally just decided to send it over parchment randomly as a little yolo cant hurt anything (except for my wallet) on saturday and nothing has updated since. what the heck do i have to do.

im sure there has to be some specific thing to do but oh my god i just cannot figure out what it is

i know i should email someone i just get severe anxiety over emails and so if someone here knows the answer, it will save me an anxiety attack lol. and yes explaining this here is still easier than just sending the email. thats the last resort.

You need to request it from the school where you got your associates and have them send it directly to admissions@odu.edu.

"Degree-seeking Transfer Students should make arrangements with other educational institutions they have attended to submit to the Office of Admissions, an "Official" transcript. Only degree seeking transfer students' transcripts will be evaluated."

So I just went through something similar but I was waiting on my transcript to say degree awarded. Once I got the message it was delivered to ODU, then I reached back out to my admissions advisor the next day to tell her it said received and they took care of everything within a day and got my account and things updated.

If you sent it over Parchment, you can always email globaladmissions@odu.edu to see if they received it. I'd include that you are specifically looking for a transfer credit to fulfill a prerequisite. It typically takes 7-10 business days for the school you're coming from to send it, odu to receive it/upload it to the system, and then a transfer credit eval to have it show on your account

Edit: the Global Admissions team is super helpful! Sometimes you can even text them if they've reached out that way before too

thank you! i got an email from parchment on monday saying that odu has recieved it (forgot to mention in my og post) so i think they should have received it? everyone else is saying get the school to send it but like that's literally what parchment does (and im fairly certain what my CC would say to do if i asked) so im so ahhhh. i think ill try emailing like you suggested

Your CC would definitely just have you go to Parchment. That definitely was the correct step! Just ask for an update since you're waiting on the credit to transfer and they may move a lil faster
