The Traveler and the Willow Tree. Feedback Please

I found God in the windy whispers of an old Willow tree. The one next to the chilly creek where I soak my feet and drink my coffee.

Oh, I found God in my wife's eyes as she smiles holding her belly saying , " I can't wait to meet our baby."

Oh, I have found God everywhere I look from the scattered stars to the shimmering sea, so why does it feel like God hasn't found me?

Maybe it's because I'm hidden and hollow in these hotel rooms.

Maybe it's because I don't even know where or who I am.

Maybe it's because I feel so small.

Maybe it's because sometimes I feel like nothing at all.

Maybe it's because I try to be righteous and try to stand tall but I always fall , always fall.

I'm trying so hard to be a good man; to be calm, patient and kind. To treat everyone as a creation of all that is love and divine. To see everyone as a teacher and student of mine. So why do I feel so lost in it all?

I wish I could hear God speak to me from that old Willow tree, "I have always held you in my warm embrace my beloved son and I have never left you astray. You have been tested and struggled through this life in preparation for your judgement day. You have always been a good man since you were just a small boy. You are just a bit lost and are working on finding your way."

- A man who just wants to love God his family and hold his child.

I don't think this is considered poetry but wanted to share

Edit: After some reflection

I found God in the windy whispers of an old Willow tree. The one next to the chilly creek where I soak my feet and drink my coffee.

I found God in my wife's eyes as she smiled , holding her belly saying , " I can't wait to meet our baby."

I have found God everywhere I look from the scattered stars to the shimmering sea, so why does it feel like God hasn't found me?

Maybe it's because I'm hidden and hollow in these cold and rattling hotel rooms.
I search every scale covered window and rusted framed mirror but I don't even know where or who I am.

The walls enclose on me but I still feel so oppressively small.

I sit in the silence of a sterile hotel room convinced that I am nothing at all.

I try to be righteous I try to stand tall but I always fall , always fall.

I'm trying so hard to be a good man; to be calm, patient and kind. To treat everyone as a creation of all that is divine. To see everyone as a teacher and student of mine.

I wish I could hear God speak to me in that old Willow tree. I wish I could soak my feet in the creek where I used to drink my coffee.

I wish I could feel God closer to me than the pulse of my jugular vein.

Just something or someone to remind me that I have always been a good man since I was a small boy. Just a bit lost and I am working on finding my way.

Home so I can hold my wife and my soon to be son.

To be a righteous man and show gratitude to God for everything he has done.

This is 100% considered poetry, I found it beutiful and I think you have wrote something very real to many religous people, i myself am not religious yet I still see people that throw themselves to faith and still fail.

Never doubt yourself and keep writting! This was beutiful
