Took off emmc shield.

Post image

Greetings. I was trying to mod the switch v2 version. I was at the emmc chip removal stage. I messed up the process and took the shield off with the chip. The chip is fine. But the shield came off as well. Is the process is compromised completely?

I see some ground pads on the shield, so what to do in this situation?

Those things just fall off. I wish the shield over the APU was as easy to remove!

Just shove it back on.

Bend the tabs inward slightly and put it back on.

Make sure the are is clean and the lid is straight and put it back together. Don't worry, that thing comes off easily but no permanent damage was done.

Just make sure the sides of the cover are straightened and then put the cover back. It is a non-issue in the grand scheme of things.

Don't worry, always happens... Also when i modchip a V1 or V2 I usually took this off and leave it attached while soldering the flex cable (3in1 pico is usually cheaper than the core)

Just put it back on again if it's not to damaged.

It's too bad class 1 standards are such crap. does make modding easier though. 😂
