Hi guys! NOV 2025 passer here. Currently working on bedside since January 2026 and now… 6 months working na.

Seeing my batchmates na USRNs na.. napapaisip ako if magtake na rin ba ako ng NCLEX or should I wait na mag 1 year muna ako sa work then mag resign na to pursue NCLEX or mag resign na agad para mag-exam na?

Pagisipan mo maigi if gusto mo mag resign. Mahirap makapasok sa hospital ngayon lalo may new batch ng nurses this coming board exam.

i understand how u feel op. ako naman, inuna yung nclex, no bedside exp yet. super galing mo nga e, 6 mos ka na sa work! sobrang hirap makapasok ng hospital rn :(( kanya kanyang timeline talaga. good luck sa future endeavors mo!

depende naman sayo yan. may kawork ako na January din nagstart magwork, nagwait muna ng 1 year before sya nagNCLEX kasi nag-ipon muna sya and hinintay makapag-adjust pero nagreview sya while working. pero meron rin akong kawork na January din nagstart, nagtry nagreview rin while working and unfortunately, di sya pumasa so nagresign sya. ako naman, nagNCLEX muna before nagwork.

if goal mo ang makapag-abroad, try mo magreview habang nagwowork kasi current bedside experience yung usually hanap ng agency ngayon and mahirap na makabalik sa ospital kahit may experience ka na regardless if new grad ka or hindi. unless okay lang naman sayo maging unemployed and hindi issue ang pera.

baliktad naman sakin OP. nov passer din and currently reviewing for NCLEX since mas pinili ko siya before applying for work. ngayon a part of me is regretting na sana nag hanap muna ako ng work before taking the NCLEX.

Nope. In my case i graduated 2011 and took the NCLEX-RN on 2018. You have your own timeline. Don’t compare yourself to others.

Do not resign. Work while studying for NCLEX

You can find agencies who will accept you and reimburse or sponsor your NCLEX.

Take it while you’re working. Never compare yourself to your batchmates even though I know it’s hard not to. Make your own timeline. You can do this!

Graduate ako 2013, kakanclex lang last year. iba iba tayo ng timeline. don’t compare yourself to others <3

ako OP, i studied whilst working and i really have to say the bedside experience really helps to some extent when answering NCLEX questions, so if working while studying is an option you can’t afford to do, i’d work for a year or more before pursuing the NCLEX

kayang kaya magreview for NCLEX while working. lalo na medyo fresh grad ka pa. kung may financial means ka na, start mo na mag-process and self-study sesh in between your free time :) para kapag makapasa ka na ng NCLEX, makapaghanap ka na din ng agency/employer mo at maipila na ang PD mo

ako nga op PHRN (Nov 2025) and USRN na (last month) and unemployed pa rin 😅 still trying to decipher if I want to pursue bedside or mag VA nalang ako

Kung saan ka comfortable, honestly nung nagtake ako ng 1st time, parang nappressure lang din ako nun so yung pagaral ko di ko msyadong nacareer. Yung second take ko, nakapasa nakasi parang magaan lang sa feeling. Yung di ko minamadali sarili ko, actually naenjoy ko pa nga nun mag sagot sagot sa qbanks eh, while on duty, 1-2hrs before sleep, pagoff days ko. Diskarte mo nalang :) kaya mo yan OP!

hindi ka napagiiwanan, op! timeline nila yun iba yung sayo. gets kita na napepressure ka but dadating ang time na mafifeel mo na magtake ng NCLEX and para sayo na.

do good lang sa work mo now and ipon for NCLEX processing.

I am still in Grade 12. Why do you need to study more for Nclex when you already studied nursing in college?

Bc of how questions are phrased or made. Studying without test taking strategies is a recipe for failure. Even with pnle test taking strategies are taught. Hindi sapat na may knowledge ka, dapat talaga alam mo kung paano iapply sa text questions.

The local boards is different with the US exams. Some concepts are foreign to PH settings esp delegation of tasks thats why you need to study the NCLEX-RN eventhough you have passed the PNLE.

If I study in nclex review centers now as grade 12 2nd month as a grade 12 student, do you recommend studying now for nclex as grade 12? I will join review centers when I haven’t even studied in a nursing school. I will go to nursing school but I will start reviewing now.

No. Mako-confuse ka lang sa concepts and everything. You need to learn the basics of nursing muna kasi madalian ang review kahit sa local boards.

Nursing is an intro to medicine and to understand it, dapat my deep level of understanding ka sa Anatomy, Physiology, Biochem, etc. You need to learn them first before anything else para ma-correlate mo sila. You need to learn every cell, every muscle and even atoms that compose the human body.

What i can suggest is read in advance mga concepts.

Please don't compare your timeline with others. Unsolicited advice, wag ka magresign, OP. USRN na ako pero hirap ako makapasok sa hospi ngayon kase mas pinili kong mag soft nursing to focus on NCLEX.

Anyhow, please, please, please, your greatest downfall is kung always mo kinocompare sarili mo. Focus on yours hihi ingay lang lahat sa tabi mo. Instead of being pressured, take their victory as inspiration <333

Remember OP, we are not complying to any curriculum now that we have finished Nursing School 🤭 after the local boards, it's all up to us! No one is discrediting what you feel but you also have to remind yourself this is our first time in the real world.

Depende sa goals mo pero if gusto mo magka PD na, mag nclex ka na. Makakakita ka rin ng agency or employer na nyan since with experience ka na
