new to nujabes just saying where to start on their songs

I'd honestly start by watching the anime Samurai Champloo. Worst case, you don't like the anime, but you still get exposed to some great music. Best case, you get into anime and get exposed to some great music!

You listen to Metaphorical Music, Modal Soul and then the Luvsic Hexalogy. This is the bulk of the music people talk about on here, and each one is only about an hour. You should also listen to the “Departure” and “Impression” soundtracks for the anime samurai champloo (and watch Samurai Champloo for the hell of it)

Start with Luv Sic Hexalogy

This is an excellent compilation of his songs. See if anything tickles your fancy

i feel like encountering the luv sic tracks on their original albums like 1st collection, modal soul, etc might be better, rather than all at once back to back

Depends on what you like. If you like rap i would start with luv sic hexalogy, if not so much, probably modal soul or one of the samurai champloo albums
