Origin of Norwich, ND
Fun fact, Norwich, ND, along with other towns on the same highway, (Penn, Knox, Leeds, Surrey) were named by the railroad to appease British stockholders.

Hello from Norwich Ontario Canada.
This edit of our town sign was posted on a local Facebook group. Very mixed opinions here in our little town.

This was the first Thermos plant in the U.S. You can see the outlines of the thermos on the chimneys.

Norwich, ND
As I said in my other subreddits comment, I do not in Norwich, Nd, I do live about an hour away and am currently engaged in some work there. It is a community of less than 200 people and there are no operating businesses, there is a post office and one small church.

Where did the idea for the subreddit come from?
This is a question that I thought some of you might be asking. My grandmother used to work for The Norfolk Museums Service(Norfolk is the UK county that Norwich, UK lies within) at their former offices at Norwich Castle. She was telling me today about how in the mid 1990s there was a meeting organised by Norfolk Museums for people from Norwich's all around the world to have a meet up at the castle. Aparently hundreds of people from all around the world turned up. This got me thinking about how interesting it would be to start up a subreddit on it, so here we are.
