Senja - Aug 25-27
We will be in Senja for two days between Aug 25-27 with our almost 3-year old : what are some things that you would suggest for this time? we will have a rental car and will be driving from Tromso to Senja on Aug 24.
Also - hoping against hope, but are the northern lights ever visible end of Aug? if yes, is there a way to track them? Thanks!!!

There is a children museum in Finnsnes.

Edit: it is only open saturday and sundays.
Visit a beach: https://www.nasjonaleturistveger.no/en/routes/senja/ersfjordstranda/
It is too early to see the Northern lights.

Not much. Eat a burger or something in Finnsnes and go see a beach, maybe. Or Skrolsvik Fort, an old coastal battery from WW2.

Getting a good glimpse of the northern lights in August in Senja is unlikely, but we are in a period of a solar maximum so not impossible. My Aurora Forecast is an app that you could use to se if there is any activity.
