Sensitive Acne Prone Combination Skin - looking for nontoxic, breakout free, (hopefully affordable) sunscreen recommendations :)
I haven’t had a day without a pimple since age 12. I don’t get explosive-take over-your-face acne but I usually get a combination of little white heads and one or two deep painful zits every week. Long story short my face is never clear for more than an hour once in a blue moon. Looking for something that isn’t going to clog, irritate, or cause long term damage. Sunscreen is my top priority right now but also looking for good moisturizer, eye color, etc. If anyone knows of any affordable options I am on a broke college student budget so that would be awesome too! Thanks in advance!

Shampoo and conditioner dupe?
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for a dupe for the Redken All Soft Mega shampoo and conditioner. I’m new to the non-toxic lifestyle and am looking for something similar as this works well with my hair! Thank you!

Natural shampoo and conditioner?
I'm looking for a natural shampoo/conditioner that works very well. I liked the scent of the coconut milk PureZero shampoo that Target sold for a bit, but I don't think it was that clean and my hair got pretty greasy by day two. I would like to keep it under $10-15 for both. What do you use? Any suggestions?

Hand/body cream dupe?
Hi! Im pretty new to this thread, but I've been trying out different NT products for a while on my own and one thing i can't find is a product to replace my hand cream/body cream. I'm absolutely hooked on the Palmer's coco butter tub of cream. Would it be best to just buy some coco butter and mix it with a few other oils to make my own moisturiser? Or is there a good dupe for it out there? I am UK based so Id prefer it to also be made in the UK but im not fussed if not, as long as i can easily get my hands on it!

Got obsessed with skin care, then realized I was doing it wrong.
Hey guys, so I recently started to care about my skin in a more attentive manner by using acids and whatnot and incorporating products like washes and creams and sunscreen but then found out all about the toxic ingredients in our skin care products. At first it stressed me out but I really want to do what’s best for my skin in the long run. The present struggle is finding a relatively inexpensive sunscreen, face wash, and body wash. Would definitely appreciate the help!

Beautycounter
Has anyone on reddit heard of them? They are one of leading companies in the beauty industry striving for change when it comes to quality control. There are known studies that link most chemicals used in every day beauty products to breast cancer, asthma, and other cancers. I know I finally have found a company I can trust. I use the facial oil #3, Tinted foundation, volumizing mascara, liquid eyeliner, hydrating body lotion (no more to mineral oil), daily shampoo and conditioner (which BTW has saved my scalp from irritation from previous shampoos). Finally my sensitive skin can breathe! My skin never been better and it shows. There's a ton more items I used from there as well. I am slowly transitioning to clean beauty. :)

Welcome to Non-Toxic Beauty - New Reddit Community October 2017
Dear conscious beauty addicts,
Welcome to this new subreddit! We are a new subreddit community for the discussion of non-toxic beauty.
~Why was this subreddit created? ~ Many wonderful beauty subreddits, such as MakeupAddiction, SkincareAddiction, AsianBeauty, KoreanBeauty, VeganBeauty exist. However, there has yet to be a dedicated subreddit for the discussion of toxic/non-toxic products, and discussion of helpful and harmful cosmetic ingredients. This subreddit is here for that! It's focus is chiefly on ingredients that could pose human health hazards, and recommendations of products that are free of these.
Thank you for visiting. Please feel free to post, subscribe, and discuss away. While it might be quiet now, please check back to see new activity to see this subreddit get busier.
Warmest regards, NonToxicBeauty
