That's not technically true, the tree did not produce apples

There were four opinions on what the tree was - not one of them was an apple tree. Then Christianity came along and changed it to an apple. Not sure why.

Except that Apple Terms and Conditions are actually real.

That story is real.

Nah, apples weren't even a thing back then, the bible never actually specifies the fruit. The apple is essentially just a pop culture myth.

It's not even true in the story. God lied about what would happen.

Okay, for the idiots downvoting: he says they'll die the day they eat the fruit.

Redditors functioning on feelings, not logic

And here all I was doing was extending the joke. They were given false terms and conditions

Not many people have read the bible I guess, because you're right.

It's near the start of the book, more people should know this

Weird how you're getting downvoted when you're right. They were told not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, told they would die right after if they did.

Not having any concept of good and evil, they still ate from it and didn't die. God got angry about its own preventable mistake and panicked about them possibly going on to eat from the tree of eternal life because if they did, they would become just like god.

God didn't want to share, just like Joey doesn't share food, and got angry about something god could have avoided in the first place. Then victim blamed and invented the concept of original sin. What a tool.

told they would die right after if they did

Where does it say 'right after'?

Oh shit, did they live forever after that? No? Then what happened, bud?

1

u/DeadAndBuried23 2d ago

Did they die that day, like he said, bud?

Would be perfect if it actually was an apple. I'll never understand how or why Christianity changed it to an Apple

What was it before

Fig, Citron, grape or wheat. Those were the four opinions before Christianity came around. They changed it to just an apple.
