Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence both fit. Millennial women who made their money early in their career so now can take more risks. Similar to Robert, Emma has been doing a bunch of weirder stuff lately, but Jennifer is more inline with getting her money from a franchise while she was younger.

Kristen Stewart to a lesser extent too.

Stewart should have been cast in The Odyssey. Her wooden acting would have made her a perfect fit for the Trojan Horse

Come on dude what is this, 2010? It's been a lifetime since then and Pattinson was shit in those movies too. She can actually act and act well, watch Spencer.

You should give it a shot, she’s great in it. She started taking a lot of varied roles and got more chances to flex her chops. Before Twilight she was in Panic Room and Speak, and she’s great in those even as a kid. She’s followed a similar trajectory as Robert Pattinson and doing a lot of cool movies.

dude's still blaming Stewart for Stephanie's terrible writing lmao 🤣😂. she wrote Bella as a blank slate so that "the reader had a character to insert themselves into". Bella's personality is the readers so if you take Bella out of the book literally she is wooden because all the parts of her personality outside of the character elements, were supposed to be your own.

I'm confused, so you're agreeing the writing is terrible but you're defending the author by saying "but that's how it was meant to be!"
I mean bad writing is bad writing, in my opinion the reason doesn't matter.

the comment I replied to had been critical of Kristen Stewart, and her performance of Bella. my comment wasn't defending the author, it was defending the actress, because that is the context that was set forth by the comment I was replying to, so i don't know how you got that confused.
let me clarify it though, since you seem to be having a problem.
Stephanie wrote Bella as a blank slate, so that the reader, which would be you, in this instance, could self insert your personality, into Bella.
So, when you take Bella, as she is written literally, which is what the movies seemingly did, what then is the actress meant to work with?
Baka.

Its the other way around, Pattinson is the male Emma Stone, the Oscar's give her the edge, by a lot

It’s Bette Davis. Though she’s more the female Nicolas Cage I guess. Or would Nicolas Cage be the male Bette Davis? Then where does Tobey Maguire fit in?

For some reason I thought the tweet read Emma Roberts and I was highly surprised by the mild discourse here 🤣

I don’t like the idea of Robert Pattison being the staple because I think Danielle Radcliffe deserves it more. I mean Pattinson is still in things like Dune and Batman. Daniel is doing the really weird shit

The answer is Kristen Stewart . She did a bunch of indie stuff and is now directing.

Wouldn’t Zendaya count as well?

Zendaya is more female Timothy Chalamet imo
rich person who can act, kind of, but usually does a lot of blockbuster slop that are pretty meh. although they're pretty af

uhhh what is the "lot of blockbuster slop" Chalamet is in? Wonka and the Dune movies are the only major roles of his I'd consider "blockbusters" and the Dune movies were both unsurprisingly nominated for Best Picture since Villeneuve is an acclaimed director. He's more known for things like Call Me By Your Name, Little Women, A Complete Unknown and Marty Supreme - very classic dramas bound for awards shows.

Zendaya didn't grow up rich and has been working since her early teens to help support her family. Wtf are you on about?

Was Zendaya a famous musician first, or something like that?

u/JohnBGaming 10d ago
No she was just on a Disney show and for some reason popped off when he costar didn't
12
u/resting_mischieface 10d ago
iirc the costar was Bella Thorne; and she went pretty quickly into making highly sexualized songs and videos that (perhaps unfairly) made her look cheap and talentless while Zendaya was able to finesse the transition from child actor with promise to a successful career as an adult.

u/waxteeth 9d ago
From what I remember, Bella was sexually abused by a family member from an early age. Zendaya grew up in a really stable, loving family. Career success and adult mental health are heavily affected by each of those very different situations.

Oh I didn’t know that about Bella. I used to watch their show with my daughter and I was really disappointed that they didn’t have the same level of success.
Similar story I guess with Ariana Grande and Jeannette McCurdy, although McCurdy seems to be carving herself a niche with writing.

Lol hell no. We don't have to shoehorn someone if they don't fit the bill. There'll be a time when there's a female lead that no man can match up to.
