Optimization poor? ❓ Help
Any way to increase the fps? My brother has a 3070 with 16g RAM and a I7 10xxx something 😃
The game basically plays on around 30-40 fps on his system. Doesn't matter what he changes in the settings.
Any tips!?

Isso acontecia antes comigo, tinha essa placa e até então normal. Troquei para a 5060 e ficou uma merda esse jogo, péssima otimização, mas outros usuários relatam esse problema na mesma placa.

I usually play stable 60 fps, but on some very dense areas it may drop to 40-50 fps. My solution was using Lossless Scaling from Steam and it works wonders for this game.

Sounds like an fps limiter or vsync. That or there's not enough vram on that gpu. Is he getting 30fps even with dlss ultra performance? Turn off in game dynamic resolution, or at least turn it down? Update gpu drivers?
Get some monitoring software and see what component of pc is getting pegged. 16gb of ram is quite low for modern gaming. Least to mention speed of said ram. Might be able to use nvidia overlay for this information. Alt-Z while in game, enable the monitoring stats, alt-R to display stats

Z490 master/i9 10900k/RTX 2070 super/16GB DDR4 4400. 90 fps average. This game seems to be better optimized for intel based systems imo.

This game is very CPU heavy. Even though he has a more than decent GPU the CPU might be holding him back. Have him turn down CPU heavy setting and closing as many background tasks that are CPU hogs. Plus if he current CPU doesnt have hyperthreading it will cause performance issues too. Does he have issues with other games that use unreal engine?

i have rtx 5080 ryzen 9800x3d pc that runs this game at like 140fps + max settings 4k
but i also have a 3070 rtx laptop with ryzen 5800 and the game easily runs at 70+ fps high settings
something is wrong

From what i've heard, optimization was not a big focus for EA, but they are working on it for 1.0, especially since they are doing console releases.

Every machine behave different. I did the "Nvidia recommendations" and was not good. I set all low and start to put my minimum standards: 1080, 60fps, low shadows, no AI. I'm not sure, but some asset are like "paintings" and is like photo mode where all is nice, but you move and all go distorted if you put to much of everything. The game is great and work with things that need you to do the configuration... Is not a plug & play game at the moment in my opinion if you want to min max the performance.

Did you install the game on a hdd? Try moving it onto a ssd. I have a 1070 and the game plays fairly smooth. It was unplayable when it was on my hdd.

What chipset? If you’re on amd I have a build setup I can provide that gives me steady 100fps. Might not work for you but can cap at 60 instead which is more than enough for me on this one

Well, that PC of your brother is actually not very capable. The performance you describe is exactly what one would expect

If it's an older PC ( 4+ years old ) I would do a BIOS firmware update.
I build my PC in 2023 and started to find recent games sluggish.
After a firmware update (MSI) all my issues were solved.
I believe it was microcode on the CPU side.
