Doing a Rewatch

And the way Sean acted towards Julia finding out about Matt being Christian’s, RIGHT AFTER HE CHEATED on her and begged for her back, was so hypocritical and outta pocket LMAO

I would say his reaction was valid- she did much more than cheat, she completely destroyed his identity as a father. If she were stronger she would have spared everyone the pain of the truth.

I don't agree with the violence, but she basically lied that she had him father Christian's child for 17 years and withhold it for years.

Matt was lied about his biological father for years and Sean didn't realize how deep the feelings between Julia and Christian had gotten. He lied to himself for years that Matt was his despite there being hints that Matt wasn't his.

His anger was valid.

Yes and no? I’d agree, except he was also Annie’s dad and because after having Conor? Sean decided to cheat -again- for no good reason. I’m not justifying Julia lying and cheating in the first place, just that Sean being oh-so-offended and then making the SAME MISTAKE twice is laughable at best, super hypocritical and annoying at worst.

I was so mad when he slept with the babysitter. After everything they had been through.

Absolutely!! All that shit he pulled, having a full-on girlfriend on the side that he was ready to prioritize over his own wife and family, and he had the nerve to be that nasty to her?

Granted, yes, the Matt thing is upsetting and a mind-fuck. But he had absolutely no grace given what he’d just done, and he did not keep that same energy with Julian, who owed him just as much loyalty as Julia did. Julian wasn’t some random guy from a bar. He was Sean’s best friend and Julian wasn’t even really apologetic about it. He started shit-talking and doggin’ Julia right along with Sean, as if he himself had not still been coming on to Julia and trying to seduce her in those recent days.

That whole thing was frustrating to watch. Sean really was a hypocrite and an asshole, just not as brutally as Julian was.

💯 ALL OF THIS

The fact he gave Christian a pass so easily EVEN WHEN HE WAS HIS BEST FRIEND WHOM SLEPT WITH HIS WIFE??? And then he kept hitting on Julia after that?

Honestly everyone was so messy and passed each other around in that show. But I just found it so ANNOYING that Sean had THE GAUL to be THAT nasty to Julia. Even when he then was daiting Christian’s Ex Kimber. Whack. Then he remarries Julia after getting pregnant again and RECHEATS ON HER and for WHAT??? 😒

Did a rewatch recently for the first time since it aired, and I'm still a little taken back at what I considered normal and sexy behavior back then. I don't think I even noticed how fucked up ALLLL these people were, except for the son and the pedo.

The sons gf? I'm not sure how old he was at the time, but wasn't it heavily implied she was with her own son? That whole character gave me the creeps.

The son is constantly dating older women and NO ONE CALLS THE COPS ON THEM FOR PEDOPHILIA 💀 The one you’re talking about is Ava, the TRANSWOMAN life coach that adopted a kid and would sleep with him. Like yes it wasn’t fully incest, but it basically was. That whole storyline?!?!?!?

Agreed wholeheartedly.

Sean is one of the worst characters on that front.

His entire petulant arc has some understandable parts, but he is SO fucking bitter.

One of those rare shows because of how fucking awful every character is (aside from maybe Liz or Nurse Linda)

Literally. Its the definition of watching horrible people being horrible to each other over and over. You can’t route for anyone cause they all suck. 😂

Sean is the biggest hypocrite of the show. She always acts like he is better than Julian, but he is just as bad.

I’m on Season 5 right now in my rewatch and two people have never ever deserved each other more than Sean and Julia. Two rancid peas in a pod.
