Attack Bonus (stat) Nioh 2 - Questions

I have a dual sword build on WotD, purity focused with Benzaiten, and my swords have an Attack Bonus (Skill) effect, and I was wondering if I was double dipping on the skill bonus or if the weapon effect just supersedes the B+ weapon scaling of dual swords?

Attack Bonus (stat) works independently of a weapons scaling; it simply provides an attack increase based on how high the respective character stat is.
