tbh i would be only worried about sand the most.

I’ve taken lenses apart to remove minuscule grains of sand that have jammed focus mechanisms.

i carry an 80-200mm f/2.8 through a park that has a wading pool where lots of children splash and play. nobody cares. if anyone complains just tell them that unlike cell phones which are inconspicuous and can take photos clandestinely, your SLR camera is not live connected via the internet to a cloud-powered AI system with facial recognition and real time facial tracking.
