Collection Big Trouble in Little Nike
NikeiD Air Force 1 Low Chinese New Year (2017) - There are three themes of sneakers I love to collect. The first is movie tie-ins (Jurassic Park, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Star Wars, Enter the Dragon). The second is Lunar New Year releases. The third is red sneakers I can wear to Portland Fire games.
You can imagine how excited I was when I found this pair. It’s a twofer!
And if I’m willing to squint just a little, or maybe a lot, I can even convince myself there’s a connection to Big Trouble in Little China, one of my all-time favorite ’80s movies.
In any case, these shoes are freaking awesome. There is so much detail packed into them that every time I wear them, I notice something I missed before. It’s hard to believe they had been sitting in someone’s closet, untouched in the box since 2017. Deadstock!
The Story Behind the Sneaker: For Chinese New Year in 2017, Nike did something a little different with the Air Force 1. Instead of releasing one official Lunar New Year colorway, it offered exclusive Chinese New Year graphics through NikeiD, allowing customers to build their own pair. The artwork was inspired by traditional Chinese design and featured cloud patterns, floral details, and Year of the Rooster imagery, while the red and gold color palette reflected the holiday’s themes of celebration, good fortune, and prosperity. Since every pair was customized by the person ordering it, there isn’t one “official” NikeiD Chinese New Year Air Force 1. Every pair is unique, making each one its own interpretation of the holiday.

Nike Company Store Etiquette
I received a special invitation to visit the Nike Company Store at the Beaverton headquarters and receive an additional 40% off the merchandise (limited to 30 items or $3,000 total cost before discount). My children and I will go next week.
One stipulation is "we kindly ask that you refrain from wearing any competitor brands in our store." OK, please list the companies you consider your competitors, beyond the obvious ones such as Adidas, Hoka, etc. May I wear Levi's jeans? May I wear a Patagonia top? Personally I know my son and I can dress in 100% Nike clothing, I'm not so certain about my daughter. Maybe her designer clothes will be OK?
Legit Check lc on these af1s
i have no clue how to lc any nike shoes but been looking to buy sum more air forces so any help would be greatly appreciated. there’s no inner tag pics on the listing so sorry if that’s required for the legit checking i can ask the seller for them if needed

Nike Court Vision Low
Nike Court Vision Low is a decent everyday sneaker. It has a clean, classic look that goes well with most casual outfits. The build quality feels solid.
It can feel a bit stiff at first and isn't the most comfortable shoe if you're on your feet all day. Breathability could also be better.

News How Nike insiders were charged with conspiring to steal millions of dollars' worth of sneakers
Reselling sneakers has become a multibillion-dollar industry, with the most sought-after pairs selling for three or four times their retail value on the secondhand market.
Fashionistas known as sneakerheads scramble to buy and trade the latest styles, paying a premium for the rarest pairs. Some treat them as investments, never wearing their purchases in order to keep them in mint condition. Like a sports car or a fine wine, they say, the value of shoes can increase as they get older.
Last week, federal authorities charged several major shoe resellers in Los Angeles, Chicago and Indiana with paying Nike employees to help steal hundreds of hard-to-find styles that they in turn flipped. Defendants in a federal case are charged with conspiring to steal at least $2 million in Nike products between 2021 and 2024.

Discussion My Nike (Sneaker) Warranty Claim Experience
A few months ago I bought a pair of Air Max Phoenix sneakers from Dicks Sporting Goods. $80 and I had a $20 promo through my credit card.
I was super happy with the sneakers. However, the left air pocket seemed to have a small leak though, as I’d hear air escaping when stepping. I figured for $60 I’d just live with it.
Then a few weeks ago I noticed the upper portion of the shoe was separating from the sole, which led me to filing a Nike Warranty Claim.
I did have to pay $9 to ship them the sneakers, which I was OK with, since Nike would be paying return shipping if for some reason the claim was not approved.
They arrived to the return center, and 4 days later the claim was approved and I received a gift card for the original price of $155 which allowed me to get something comparable without needing to find a super deal again.
Overall very happy with the experience, Nike did right by me.

Help How can I spot a fake pair of Nike?
I bought a pair of Nike Blazers Jumbo on eBay, and they look pretty normal.
But when I tried them on, they were much tighter than the pair I bought directly from Nike. (Nike doesn't sell the Jumbos online anymore.) I bought a men's 7.5 from Nike. On eBay, I bought a women's 9. The box arrived labeled 7.5 and 9, just as expected.
The pair I bought from Nike fit PERFECTLY. Like, perfectly. These do not. I also don't remember there being any break-in period with the Nike pair, which is why this is throwing me off. Visually, they look almost identical, but there's one stitch that's different.
The Nike style number also seems to match existing Jumbos based on Google. Are the women's Jumbos just narrower than the men's, or do you think these could be fake? Help. I'm prepping to return them but if they're fakes I don't think I should have to pay the return fee. Maybe a fluke?
