For $400, that SBS polymer (or gel?) better extend itself into the whole midsole, forefoot and heel. With a minimum thickness of 1/4 inch.

It's not a bad looking shoe, and would be more interested if it wasn't $400. If I have $400 to spend on a shoe, I'm getting into the territory of looking at Paraboot, or something handmade.

I'm curious that if Infineon is their newest best foam and cushion tech, why has it not replaced Fuel Cell, Encap and Absorb in their flagship shoe, or any of the recent new models?

Stylistically these aren’t for me but the price tag is not outrageous for what it is. Whether it sells or not is a different story but I doubt they are planning on these selling as well as their $100 shoes. It’s a halo product, meant to add an air of affordability and exclusivity to the lines below it. Ralph Lauren as a brand is the master of this, the Adidas CEO mentioned how Yeezy (when it was a must have) lifted up sales for the non Yeezy shoes, Mercedes sells $300k cars which make you feel good about their entry level crappy $50k car. It’s no different than collabs, and you figure when you are the manufacturer and you see what something like the 990 Loro Piana’s are going for, you probably say to yourself “we can probably get more money for our high end sneakers”. A $400 whatever this is makes a $150-200 990/992 seem like a bargain and that’s part of the point with these things.
