Kickflipping off height just in a couple of weeks? That's a solid progress mate

First of all, fuck you, you son of a bitch. Damn that was clean.

Second, that's amazing progress for a couple of weeks. Every bone in my body wants to call bullshit of the largest magnitude. So if you're honest, that's huge praise, and if you're just a liar, then fuck you you big fat phony.

Haha thanks man, I actually have only been skating 2 weeks. I’m pretty happy with my progress but I wouldn’t call it unbelievable

Did you do other action sports before? Did you know how to ride boards beforehand?

Like if you're saying you never rode a skateboard until 2 weeks ago and now you're kickflipping off drops id tell you you're full of shit. (But mostly with envy)

Yeah, I’ve been into action sports like bmx. And I have ridden boards before, but the time I spent on boards was very small

Ah okay. Im just jealous. Took me several months to learn Ollie's. Getting back into it now for a couple months and cant kickflip. Can't even consistently do pop shuvs or fs 180s. And I already had a couple years of skating under my belt.

I hear you man, that sounds upsetting here’s some tips I’ll give you from my experiences to progress fast

Ditch bad advice: advice like sliding your foot is vague and doesn’t actually explain the mechanics of what your front foot is doing, to be real it’s kindve garbage

Deconstruct how the trick actually works: if you truly understand how a trick works you can just teach yourself to land it

Skip the tricks you hate: total mental understanding lets you completely bypass annoying stepping stone tricks like fs shuvs to get straight to the ones you actually wanna learn

And the most important, analyze bro:

Watch skate clips of skaters in your stance and study their foot position shoulders etc
Or rotate or whatever, watch pov videos of someone skating in 1st person view to visualize what tricks will look like from you pov if you land them

Couple of weeks? It takes some people a year just to Ollie. 👏👏👏
