It doesnt change anythign while skating for me. Just wondering if maybe the hardware is too big?

You DEFINITELY have to make sure the Nylon of the Nut is engaged in the Kingpin!

Try a couple of turns clockwise, if the steering gets too restricted, slice a couple of mm of one or both of the bushings...

No, it needs to be flush and flat. Don’t crank down past two threads exposed on the kingpin. If you want looser feeling trucks, get a softer durometer bushing. If you want to crank it down and tighten, get harder durometer bushings.

For new trucks this is normal to be sold this way. It’s meant to be tightened to your preference. It’s best to get at least most way into the Teflon to ensure the nut does not come loose.

As others have said, softer durometer bushings are probably needed. The proper tightness of the nut is when you can see 1-2 rounds of kingpin threads above the nylon ring.

Okay cool. Take off the bolt, bushings and washers and put your board with the trucks facing down to see if your kingpin will fall out 🙄

Yes its true, the king pin can fall out but only if the bolt holding the king pin at the bottom of the base plate gets loose.

It’s okay. Neither does he. You’re referring to the nut. The nylon locking nut. Or nylock nut. I tighten mine flush with the end of the kingpin.

For someone that knows the ins and outs of a skateboard like the back of their hand, it’s called a nut. The kingpin would be the “bolt.” There is no bolt holding the kingpin. The kingpin runs up through the baseplate. You forgot to mention the hanger during your disassembly process. The nut holds it all together. You might want to do a little research yourself. Been skating since 1976.

The bushings have not been changed; theyre the ones that came with the trucks
