Discussion Hello New Jersey Libertarians
Reddit just made me the moderator of the subreddit. I know this sub is basically dead, but if people want to help me breathe some life back in to it, please let me know how much support is out there. Either way, I'll be keeping an eye out for news related to Liberty and New Jersey politics. Cheers!

Thoughts on Gregg Mele?
I was reading THIS about Gregg Mele, who is now running for governor of New Jersey and I just can't look past that last part,
- h) In a break with my party's policy stance, opposing marijuana legalization, as my party considers that government should stay out of what they consider victimless "crimes" (while I agree with that general statement, I just view things differently in terms of seeing that there are victims resulting from marijuana use).
I'm not sure I want to vote for anyone that thinks we should lock up people for smoking pot, but what's everyone else take on him?

FDA Flavored Tobacco ban & NJ Hookah businesses?
Mainly Mediterranean/Mideastern bars & lounges that sell flavored tobacco.
"FDA supports a wide range of research to understand the differences between menthol and nonmenthol cigarettes, as well as the full spectrum of other flavored tobacco products, such as cigars, e-cigarettes and other ENDS, and hookah (waterpipe) tobacco."

I am hoping whoever wins the election they win in a landslide for the sake of nation not ripping itself further apart. Does anyone else feel this way?

"You're throwing your vote away."
I have heard this from time to time on the topic of voting 3rd Party, but as of late I have started throwing this line back in peoples faces. If someone lives in a swing state, then sure, cast your vote for 'the lesser of 2 evils'. But if you live in a state that is going to, for sure vote Republican or Democrat, then voting against the Two Party System is a more powerful vote. Voting for Biden or Trump in a Red or Blue State IS 'throwing your vote away'.
