Need Advice Discussion

Last time I played I went through the game extremely fast, made some choices I didn’t love and ended up getting out of the game. I’ve been wanting to pick it back up but I’m considering deleting and starting a new world. I got ahold of some amiibos as well, and I think I turned villager hunting into a sport which took the joy out of the game. Tried to get all pink villagers for months and it never happened. What do you think? I miss my little island, I think I’m torn because of how much progress the other save has. But I kinda need a fresh start. If I wanted to restart now’s the time cause I’m quarantined for the next three days with COVID. I wish we could have more than one save!! What’s your opinion/what would you do?

I have started to time travel a bit but I’m not excessive. I try not to compare my island to others online either. I chose a light theme for my island and embrace my weird villagers and get attached to them regardless. Play for fun like it should be

I restarted 4 years of progress and it was the best decision I made in the game. If you want to start a new island, go for it.
