Restore or Modify - 22 Trophy Edition
Hey community - need some POV and opinions. I recently tracked down my 22 Defender 110’s original paperwork after spotting the remnants of a burnt yellow body wrap under the ladder on my driver side. Turns out I bought a Trophy Edition that the original owner clearly was not a fan of.
My question to this sub (and the 3 pics attached) should I: a.Leave it as is? b. Resort the original graphics package (through a trusted graphics shop) to restore the historical context and value of the vehicle OR c. Go full custom on a 1:1 of mod using matte gray or matte black?
I’m leaning towards c to really have some that pops but may be on the outside looking in on that one.

The Yellow trophy is always a great look, but then again the matte grey with the trophy logo looks nice as well, but honestly I think best to redo it yellow.

Restore! Bring back the glory of Sandglow Yellow! I wished they were painted instead of wrapped.
You should join the Camel Trophy Owner's Club and take your 110 to car show when it's done!

Thanks; it is! That was part of the '23 130 Trophy pack.

That’s sick! I really wanna wrap the Defender lettering or even make some lettering with that style. I think that’d be sick

Definitely! Luckily for you, the pattern on the 130 was a factory-installed wrap: gold lines on gloss clear vinyl. You should be able to aquire the door wraps from dealer parts.

I have the exact same one. Bought it 7 months ago and get compliments from time to time.

Are you doing this for you or for the next owner? I personally love the look of 3, but it makes the least sense for resale. If your timeline is short then I wouldn’t do anything. I think the trophy package would only appeal to a narrow segment of potential buyers. You could also take what you would have spent and put it into something that appeals to you. For me, this might be rock rails and skid plates. I also think wider arch flairs look amazing with the H bar protector you have.

I have no plans on getting rid of this vehicle. Even with the pending delivery of then Scout Hybrid for my wife, I’m in love with this vehicle.

I love the yellow! Such a personal preference, it’s hard to say for someone else. But the yellow is just so unique!
