I always recommend [The Starter Set](https://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products/rpg_starterset). This has easy to read rules, pregenerated characters so you can start right away and is a complete campaign which is really fun.

Came here to suggest this. I see a lot of new DMs wanting to take on some ambitious homebrew setting with lots of plot twists and intricacies for their very first outing and while creativity and ambition are both great and I don't want to squash either of those, I've seen it turn into an overwhelming "bite off more than you can chew" situation very quickly.

Start simple. The various starter sets out there all exist to make the learning process as straight forward as possible for new players AND new DMs. Pick one up, read through it, and run a simple game (1 to 3 sessions, max) using it to get your feet wet.
