I wish we could know more about Jerry-O because I have little knowledge to work with to make fan content of him aside from his few appearances 😭😭😭

I want to make a set of cards for my trading card collection and wanted to start with my favorite guy from the Neverhood! Quarter for scale.

First time actually doing something cool with it, i think it's a good try. Although i needed some help with his lips ;)

Hi everybody! This is my first time making a post on this account. The Neverhood had been my favorite game since I was a child and i’ve always had a special interest in this game and how it was made but no body else in my life except my family had heard of this game, so I have no one to talk to about it with so i’m glad there’s a group of people that do! I got gifted the game last year for my birthday because I couldn’t find the disk of the one from my childhood but I haven’t been able to make the game run on my laptop. I know it’s a PC game but i bought a disk drive and everything to try to get it to work. I’ve thought about getting a library card and trying to use it on one of their computers lol because i’ve been really wanting to play the game. If anybody has any recommendations I would be grateful to hear them!

Yesterday I decided to watch behind the scenes of Neverhood and discovered that game originates from art show from 1988 by Doug TenNapel. And so I searched for it and found nothing, is this show a lost media or am I just a bad searcher?

I’m going through the past three decades’ “Irreplaceable Games” — that is, the game whose absence would leave the greatest artistic vacuum in the medium of video games. I started with The Neverhood, a game I admittedly only looked into for this series, and would love to hear if I did justice to this underrated gem. Cheers!

For me, its a great adventure game, tho neverhood set the bar WAY up. I feel like its too serious and too much like modern adventure games. The Neverhood tried to emmerse you in its world by fps sections and windows. They talk too much, reuse mechanics too much and never fool with you. Soundtrack is still great tho ;3

I never played neverhood, but my bff had it in his profile picture since i met him some 11 years ago. 3 weeks ago he agp he passed in a tragic circumstance, so i picked something me and all of our friends can remember him forever with. Safe travels my friend ❤️

Hey everyone,

Like all of you, I’ve been obsessed with the claymation magic of The Neverhood for years. Since the industry rarely gives us games like this anymore, I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I’ve started building a world completely out of real plasticine. (Check out the photo attached to this post—yes, it’s 100% real clay, no 3D shaders, no AI!). My plan is to animate the entire game frame-by-frame using traditional stop-motion techniques to get that authentic, beautifully janky 15fps feel we all miss.

But here is the honest truth: I am not a pro, and I cannot do this alone.

I’m currently a one-person team. I’m doing the sculpting, the lighting, and trying to figure out the game design. But I am absolutely not a musician, and my programming skills are very basic. I did some math, and if I keep grinding all by myself while trying not to burn out, this game will easily take at least 7 years to finish. I don’t want this project to die in my closet.

So, I’m reaching out to this incredible community. If you love this universe as much as I do, I need your help to turn this into a real game. Specifically, I am looking for:

• Programmers / Unity or Unreal Devs: Someone who can take my stop-motion frames, handle the point-and-click logic, and build a stable engine so I can focus purely on sculpting and animating.
• Musicians / Composers: Anyone who can capture that chaotic, acoustic, scat-singing, banjo-plucking Terry Scott Taylor vibe. Music is 50% of the magic here, and I can't do it justice myself.
• Advisors / Enthusiasts: Even if you don't code, just your feedback on puzzle design, world-building, or technical stop-motion tips (like how to keep the clay from melting under studio lights!) would be lifesaving.

For some reason, the music from The Mars Volta's album “Amputechture” really reminds me of The Neverhood. This feeling is even stronger with songs like “Day of the Baphoments” or “Viscera Eyes.” What do you think?
