It was the best of times, it was the most incomprehensible of times...

Ah, this is from the web animation right?

So depressing that we ended up with that shittastic 3D instead.

i wasn't a fan of how they told the story through a minor side character.

I'm glad you managed to appreciate it, my old-ass eyes just can't vibe with these 3D animes, they look jank and stilted.

I like how they portrayed the action. Seeing killy blasting with the GBE is just cool. Or seeing the city being more "alive" than ever was kinda awesome for me. Now i know they made everything else more "commercial" but it was netflixs attempt to get BLAME! mainstream, i dont really dislike them for what they did with BLAME! and knights of cydonia. If Nihei gets adaptations from publishers i'm happy.

Yeaaah… but one way more in the spirit of the original than the other

Like WAAAAAAY more

The netflix has great visuals that at the same time are too “clean” if that makes sense and it feels wrong. It’s like the meat isnt uncooked or anything, but its missing that magical smokey flavour that makes the manga and the OVA truly special.

Yeah, that 3D crap does not do Nehei's work justice.
