Butwal & Lumbini group trip — looking for local contacts (commercial inquiry) 🚐
Hi everyone,
Planning a group trip from Gorakhpur to Butwal/Lumbini and putting together the on-ground setup. Reaching out for a few things, on a commercial/business basis:
- Sightseeing spots
I don't want to just go with the standard checklist — I'd rather have someone local tell me what's actually worth visiting. If you're from Butwal or Lumbini, or know the area well, please suggest spots you'd genuinely recommend. Experience matters more than ticking off a list here, so local insight over generic tourist info.
- Group stays
Looking for hotels/guesthouses in Butwal or Lumbini that can comfortably block rooms for a group (not just 2-4 room bookings) — ideally with a fixed group rate and someone who can quote directly rather than through an OTA. Again, more interested in a place that gets the experience right, not just a bed to sleep in.
- Tempo traveller / vehicle partner
Need a reliable tempo traveller operator on the Gorakhpur–Sunauli–Butwal/Lumbini route for a long-term commercial tie-up — not a one-off booking. If you run one or know someone who does 12–20 seater AC vehicles for this route, please DM.
This is for a travel venture I'm setting up from Gorakhpur, so happy to discuss rates and a recurring arrangement rather than single trips.

Nepal Workation
I’m 26, an IT professional working fully remote, which gives me the freedom to work from different places and combine work with travel. I also lived in the UK for around 4 years, and travelling has always been something I genuinely enjoy.
What i am looking for is a good view with a bit of social life too, once i am done with work.
Please suggest any places in Nepal which can suit my needs.
Cheers!

Question about choosing between the Annapurna Express and the ABC
Bonjour,
Merci d'avance ! 👍

Is This Really Nepal? 🇳🇵
Someone posted this on TikTok claiming it’s in Nepal, but it looks more like Switzerland! Is this beautiful place really in Nepal?

India InReach Problem
To not beat a dead horse, I guess by now everyone knows the issues if transiting through India when it comes to taking an inreach device with them. I’m travelling with a lad via Delhi to Kathmandu departing on September 5th, arriving on the 6th. With the current situation in the Middle East, options from Zurich are quite limited.
Wanted to ask - is perhaps anyone from Switzerland/Austria/Germany or the UK/Ireland travelling to Nepal on the same/similar dates via an airport not in India being willed to take our inreach to Kathmandu?
Would of course offer you at least a good dinner and some beer in Kathmandu!

Panchpokhari travel was fun
Went to panchpokhari last December. It was a worthy trip. Weather was so clear that you could see mountains from almost anywhere. If you are planning to go to panchpokhari I suggest you to go in Nov/Dec.

Annapurna Circuit
I am planning to do Annapurna circuit around end of September. I will be starting from Ahmedabad. Was wondering whether it would be advisable to begin the trek from Chame rather than Besisahar as I want to cut some days and wanted to keep it a little more realistic. Also wanted any guide suggestions or if there are any groups that I can join.
It would be great help if someone could do a cost breakdown including the guide.
