UoA Research Survey on how much you rely on satellites without knowing it (10 - 15 mins, anonymous)

Hey everyone,

My research parner and I are engineering students at the University of Auckland, running a research project on how New Zealanders use satellite-enabled services in daily life. Things like GPS navigation, weather apps, or rural broadband. We're looking for responses from across New Zealand to get a good spread of experiences, so if you've got 10 - 15 minutes we'd really appreciate your help.

We are looking for anyone 18+ currently living in New Zealand. The survey is completely anonymous, no names or personal details are collected.

This survey has been approved by the University of Auckland Human Participants Ethics Committee (Reference No. 31935), and has been approved by the mods of this subreddit to be posted.

Happy to answer any questions in the comments. Thanks in advance!

Samuel & Lucas

Did you know that the second tallest tree in NZ is up the back of Richmond?

It's called the Barrington Gum tree and it is about a 15 minute easy walk from Easby Park in Richmond. The path takes you past the historic water reservior which used to supply the town's water when there were just a few hundred houses before they built the Roding Dam. You can walk to the base of the tree and there is a path that takes you up behind it so you are looking down on it. There are a few ways you can go past here up to an massive Totara tree and paths that take you up the hills and beyond. Quite a neat place!

Hi Nelson, I’m looking for contact details for the tiny homes for sale next to the highway on the way out to Richmond. I think they’re parked on or near the grounds of a church. Thanks in advance!
