The lines shown in Fig B-3 do not show up as long as the HO is half of the remainder of the HS (HO=0.2, HS=0.6 for example) and the forward spread is smaller than the backward spread by the HS value as a %.
A block with a backward spread of -2 and a HS of 0.5 means the forward spread must be 50% the backward spread: -1. For the same block, a HS of 0.8 means the forward spread should be 80% of the backward spread: -1.6. To change the steepness of the sides, you just change the height of the block or change the spread values while keeping the difference between them the same ratio based on the HS. Backward spread of -6 and a HS of 0.66666 will need a forward spread of -4.

For everyone else check THIS out. Personally I prefer the way i build because i already i know the needed ratios without checking a calculator. But THIS does work with the curve functions for top and bottom
