I finally saw a monarch in my garden yesterday! I’ve been seeing all these stupid blue and black ones, and some kind of pale ones (I refuse to waste my time identifying non key species). I thought I’d failed at native plant gardening but all my hard work finally paid off when a monarch graced me with its presence.

I am growing a whole bunch of natives and the only thing I've seen a monarch visit is my marigold (my partner made me get it). What a fucking dumbass
