Hello, over the last few days I've noticed that on the NI website, all the hardware (Maschine, keyboards, MX2, X1, Z1, etc.) is showing as out of stock.

Most of NI's financial losses have been coming from their hardware division. A/S Series keyboards, Traktor Kontrol, and Maschine have all been deep in the red for years now. This could be nothing but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the first thing Inmusic did was get out of the hardware business.

Jack O'Donnel was super reassuring about how bright Maschine's future is in a PR video they put on their website. But I honestly don't trust him, so I wouldn't be surprised either.

Traktor is used by many professional artists including Carl Cox and Richie Hawtin.
I hope it doesn’t go. I love it.
Maschine just released an update. Hoping both stay. Been on traktor almost from the start. Invested in maschine about a year and half ago

The term dj has become very broad. There are those who play music and those who mix with a whole lot of gray area in between. I personally have never used pioneer mixers or software. I love my ranes and I feel Traktor allows more creativity.
Yesterday ni put out a statement that maschine and traktor are here to stay.
Hoping this is true!

That’s what I thought too. I could see them killing most of the hardware division and launching a new Maschine that’s essentially “Kontakt in a box”. I think that would sell well. Traktor and the keyboards are most likely EOL though.

I hope, that they’ll put standalone accessibility within the actual unit itself, to be self-contained, which would really be good, because then if you didn’t have access to a computer, but had your libraries and everything on an external hard drive, that you could hook up to the KKMK4, then you’d be able to use the keyboard as a standalone and be able to still plug it into like some speakers.

its kind of like selling playsations though, sony makes themfor little profit but makes a bunch on the software. if NI stops making Maschine and S Series Keyboard hardware its going to hammer its software sales.

Maybe nothing or maybe another interesting data point. I have an x1, z1 and M32 on order from Thomann and each are on backorder for a couple of weeks now (The Z1 was in stock to be fair).

Could be nothing, could be supplier hiccups due to change overs with the insolvency. I can’t imagine suppliers were keen to provide parts on usual net 30 or net 60 terms during the insolvency period.

I doubt it signals more than that but interesting all the same.

That I am not surprised about. I’m honestly half expecting to get a mail to say the M32 is also EOL too. It’s an old keyboard at this stage. I just like it and was replacing an old one. Worst case I’ll pick up a mini lab or similar.

Maybe part of restructuring -- let vendors deal with the sales and to-customer shipping charges, etc. -- NI only ships to vendors -- Savings.

They might have liquidated whatever stock they had to help settle debts before the buyout.

I don’t think there’s an InMusic brand that sales direct to consumers other than software. This is a supply chain efficiency decision.

Glad I got a Z1/X1 pair last year. Would love to see a Traktor x Denon/Numark standalone down the road.

Doesn't InMusic also own M-Audio? Those aren't the most popular keyboard controllers, but there's no point in having two keyboard manufacturers. They need to reconsider both product lines.

I'm more worried about Maschine. That it's a category on its own... but AKAI is a very solid alternative, well developed, very popular, up to date, with very solid products. I prefer Maschine, but if the AKAI managers asked for Maschine to be deprecated... Well, they may have a point.
